Canada opens borders to orphaned Tsunami victims

Canada is opening its borders to tsunami-orphaned children.
Immigration Minister Judy Sgro says children under 18, who have lost their family but have family in Canada, will get priority.
She also says her department will expedite the one-thousand sponsorship applications from the affected regions that were in the system before the December 26th disaster.

Good....hopefully the rest will get a fair shake too.

1. Canada is God's country
and those children are so fortunate to have family there to sponsor them into Canada.

3. I doubt we will...
We're not good like Canada. We wouldn't want to put a strain on our resources. :eyes:

4. I heard on the news
that many Americans have been inquiring about adopting orphaned children. It seems that there is tons of red tape in the nations affected, which is understandable. One of the various reasons is that they need to be absolutely sure the parents are deceased which is difficult to do in all cases with people missing.
Also, I'm glad to hear about Canada's actions.
