Now quit feelin sorry and let's do - DU somethin. For Crimeny Sakes here people SNAP OUT OF IT!

Open issues left on the table...
Design for the revolution... We're still looking for one.
On the list so far
Spiral - Historical symbol for revolution
White Rose - based on the fight against the Nazis
Paper Clip - based on the solidarity fight in the 1930's
Dove
Olive Branch
Star

Here are some questions I have for you?
What are we doing?
What are we fighting for? Against?
What is this movement all about?
What are we trying to say to the people of the world?
What is our overall message?

Please help me answer these questions. I think clarifying our message is priority one. WE always diss the party heads about the message but we can't seem to clarify our movement/revolution right here.

Give it a shot...

2. With all avenues for democratic recourse destroyed,
we are in a classic state of disarray.

But you used the word revolution, and it seems that is what it may take.

As for symbols, I'm thinking clenched fist right now. Time to fight back hard.

7. I like it. Clenched fist with a white rose.
T-shirts designs, bumper stickers with a direction to a website about the "White Rose Society" of German fame.

5. Real Democracy.
Working to put more power in the hands of the people, not in the hands of the corporations and power elite.

We are fighting for: honest and responsive government, open and reliable elections, and peace.

*** I guess I like the idea of one BIG BROAD group, with the aims above, divided into smaller subgroups that different people could work on: Impeaching Bush, for example, would be one subgroup, ending the war in Iraq another, election reform yet another, developing left wing media outlets another.

I like the Rose -- it's both historical and sort of new, unlike the Peace dove and the start, which are all over the place. The fist too, because it's strong (and liberals need to take back strength).

6. Hallelujah, my sister, I am with you 100%.
First, let's DO something.

Then whatever energy is left can be used for taking shots at each other.

11. I see you don't have a peace sign listed
The objections I read about the peace sign can be applied to all of the above, and though I am not necessarily against the above suggestions, I would like to reiterate my desire to use the peace sign.

It is internationally recognized and has a hand jesture to go with it. Neither can be taken as offensive jestures. It is simple enough for all to draw. The addition of the rainbow has the obvious meaning of inclusion.

What are we doing? - Activism
What are we fighting for? - Peace... Against? - Hatred, bigotry, poverty ad infinitum
What is this movement all about? - Peace
What are we trying to say to the people of the world? - We want peace and happiness
What is our overall message? - Peace and Love

Here's another I have been working on all morning:
