like Reagan's.

Isn't Texas in the south?

I cringe every time I see that little insignia.

6. Insignia has what looks like a fallen-down, bandy-legged chicken
clutching all it can carry in its greedy little claws. Sort of appropriate when you think about it.

As a native Texan with a lot of affection and respect for that state and its citizens, I not only hate what * has done to the world, I also hate what he has done to the world's idea of what a typical Texan is like.

5. Yeah, and his farm looks like a PIG STY...
Anybody ever notice how messy it looks when the press sets up and broadcasts "from the ** ranch in Crawford TX"? ICK, it looks horrible with old sheds in the background, old livestock trailers lying around, etc. Then there is the matter of ** constantly going out every AM and "cutting brush". Gee. He must be a saint for doing so much "HARD WORK".

WTF??? If ** is so much for creating jobs, why can't (or won't) he hire anybody to help keep his place up??

** is a total insult to those of us who are real people and have real family farms that we trying to keep nice and keep going. Keeping a family farm going these days really is hard work for those of us who do not have the resources ** has.

15. Yesterday I looked at the messy shed and the wind was
blowing Nora O'Donnell (MSNBC) all over the place but the grass around the shed and the leaves on the tree by the shed were not moving AT ALL. I think it's a "back drop" that isn't real.

This is the most bizarre president we've ever had. More bizarre than Poppy, and trust me, I think having a President named "Poppy" is pretty damn bizarre so "Poppy, Jr." is really out in f*^king left field as far as I'm concerned.

25. They do that deliberately.
They always have the newswhores broadcasting from in front of some run-down old shed, instead of in front of the very expensive house that we never get to see. I'm sure that old shed is far away from, and out of sight of, the mansion. The Potemkin Ranch is a facade designed to make the Chimpinator look like a real man of the people, a reg'lar guy who jes' works on a reg'lar ranch, he don't put on no airs or nuthin'.

30. A run-down mess like that, even if a staged "set", is still an insult...
to those of us who really ARE "regular" people who have farms. Kind of like playing into the "redneck hick" stereotype; as if you have to have a POS farm like that to be a "real" farmer or something.

Sits very badly with me and with other family members here.

34. I've never seen an actual, operating farm that looked that bad.
I'm sure that ratty stage set -- which is what it is -- is intended to promote the notion that he's not a fancy pants elitist like all those eastern librul Democrats. Maybe the underlying psychology is related to the way he talks -- he can barely put together a coherent English sentence; likewise, he appears to live in a dump, so maybe all of this makes the non-rich Republicans who aren't his "real" base think, hey, if a guy who talks worse than me and has a crappier shed can be President, I must be hot chit, too. Or something like that. But I'd agree, it's all kind of insulting.

After GW leaves, they have to hire quite a few locals to stick more brush back in the ground. Otherwise he would run out of places to have those manly photo-ops.

38. LOL!!!! Well I have LOTS of real brush up here in PA that needs to be...
cleared, just in case anybody who isn't a girly-man wants a photo-op, and NO brush replacement necessary here, hah hah.

** flew over my farm in his black 'copters, twice, on way to and from a Western PA rally in October... on the second fly-over the procession of aircraft veered toward me (I was out in a field with some young horses).

I thought he was just looking at my pretty equines (or fixing to shoot me) at the time but hmmm maybe his manly hormones were raging and he was looking for BRUSH TO CLEAR!

Where does he get this shit? You know HE didn't think of it. Maybe as much time as he spends there, they figured they'd better give it some official sounding name. Now they can say he's at the "Western White House" instead of saying that he's "at the ranch".

31. It's sad to see liberals...
...again dancing to the tune of the Republicans. This whole Western White House concept is part of the deliberate and clever "common man" strategy they have been playing since Reagan. And every time liberals fall right into the their trap by starting to sneer about "dirty pig farms" etc. Well guess what? Most of the folks who brought FDR to power in 1932 where poor dirt farmers or workers. Poor people also brought social democrats into power in most of Europe. Misplaced elitism reeking of a condescending attitude towards the "little people" has been killing left-wing parties both in Europe and the US.

42. Bush is not one of the "little people"
Even though he does wear lifts in his shoes.

We call The Western White House a "pig farm" because that's what it was. But Bush is too elite to actually raise pigs. Or cattle. Or anything. Even before his recent physical & mental problems, he was afraid of horses.

It's really obvious that the "ranch" is a stage set where he can be isolated from DC & pretend to be a man of the soil. Lots of rich Texans buy rural retreats--but quite a few of them actually get into it. The Bush family had quite a few years to put down Texas roots but they never really tried. A Houston hotel suite was Bush Sr's Texas address when he was President; afterwards, he & Ma Bush had a house built on a tiny lot they owned in Houston's 3rd or 4th most prestigious neighborhood. Tanglewilde is not farming land--it's just outside the 610 Loop.

33. is this sign, "The Wester White HOuse, Crawford, Texas", a sign that Bush
thinks he OWNS the UNITED STATES and that he has no plans to relinquish power when 2008 comes around? Think About it--the sign seems to minimize every other president past there has ever been--why not every other future(?) president? I mean, does he intend for there to be another president after him?

39. So I'm not the only one
who noticed that pile of shit.

I am not prone to gratuitous profanity, but "pile of shit" seems to fit here. When I saw the logo on the seal, I nearly gagged. If nothing else fits the phrase, "pile of shit," well, this does.

The man is delusional. Moreover, he thinks this is OK? There is ONE White House, the People's House, and it resides in Washington D.C.

End of story.
