10. Uh, no. I saw a clip on the news , I think CNN...
I'm sure if you google "Harry Reid" + "social security" you'll find it. Unfortunately Bush and Cheney are doing so much evil shit, it's hard to focus on anything positive. Even that Rumsfeld Humvee story was a smoke screen for what he was up to the next day...He went to India and Pakistan to sell them arms. India and Pakistan are mortal enemies and both have been nuclear armed in the last ten years. India was pissed when they found out they'd been double timed. 15 billion in arms to Pakistan. Crazy huh?

6. Democracy for America is alive and growing here in Kansas City.
I'm feeling pretty bad these days (we had a death in our family) and it appears that everyone is trying to put this war in that "good" place where everything is explained and made comfortable with cliches and bathos, but when I think about our DFA meetings, I feel better.

7. It depends on what makes you happy. If you want an oligarchy, then yes.
Otherwise, there is no joy in America-ville.

8. America is waking up
The fact that so many of us have been so depressed - I think it actually signals a self-awareness we did not have before. Yes, the truth hurts, but we have to recognize our own evils before we can do anything about them. And the Buy Blue movement and the growing activist community are further evidence that as individuals, we are finally making an effort to live our lives well.

12. Only that, this too will pass
If we're lucky we'll come through relatively unhurt, I don't hold much hope for that to tell the truth, it's going to get dark and bloody, but, there will be a new day.

14. Nothing! Other than politically we are about as low as we can get
It is nearly impossible to have hope when enough idiots in this country exist to elect Bush after seeing him continuously lie and fail for the four previous years.

And I don't buy that the election was stolen. It should never have been close enough for that to be possible.

I also don't see how we turn moronic sheeple into intelligent voters without a catastrophe of some sort to finally wake them up. Either way, we lose.
