Techies: How does one go about reporting a HATE website to the DHS?
One that advocates violence against a significant percentage of the population of the United States of America, for example?

There was just a thread on here that I read with a link to a Fascist Fucknut message board, which has since been deleted from DU, which was basically saying that all liberal and intellectual American citizens should be rounded up and shot. I did a whois on the domain name and it's registered in Atlanta, Georgia. No, it's not freerepublic.com, it's worse. Apparently it is populated by a group of wingnuts who were banned from FR for being too extreme in their pro-fascism pro-Bush views (hard to believe, I know).

I looked at the DHS website,
http://www.dhs.gov/
and they have all kinds of different categories for things like "so, you think you got ricin?" and "is there a brown person in your child's school?" and "do you know someone who committed bank fraud that you'd like to report?" but I can't find anything on there for reporting "is a website you know of inciting broad brush violence against other Americans?"

Yeah, yeah, I know... DHS is a fucking joke... I'm just wondering if any of you had any better ideas. Contact their ISP directly perhaps? What if the webmaster for the site runs it on his own ISP?

1. Try the secret service in your area
or the FBI in your area. You can also call the FBI in the area where the site is hosted. They will look.

3. I think I'll try the FBI tomorrow, fwiw.
Maybe I'll get through to one of the good guys who'll do something about those wannabe terrorists.

4. "a joke of biblical proportions", lol
Thanks for the laugh, but you're oh so right. That's a big part of the problem.

5. well, I wasn't trying to be funny
But glad I provided a laugh.

Department of Homeland Security is nothing but a gestapo for the Bushies. If that. It's either worthless, or worthless and menacing. Historians will decide, I guess.

:hi:

6. Tell DHS that they tried to sell you
a bong. Other than that, I don't think they give a shit.
