The guy taking a dive...
Edited on Tue Dec-14-04 09:49 PM by libertypirate
I am starting to feel sorry for this character Kerik more than anything else... I mean how would the Whitehouse find a guy and never know all this shit on him. THIS IS BULLSHIT. Do you think they let him go to Iraq without a thorough background check?

As a private contractor you would think there would be a standard security clearance which must have documented MOST of this. Is the democratic party like hypnotized staring at Ohio?

Anyways throwing this out there because it's taking our press and I think we could debunk it... Possibly

Thoughts?

1. I don't understand,
you want to defend Kerik to get the news back on something you consider more newsworthy?

Or, do you think he's taking a public beating planned by his party so we ought to write and ask for coverage on other matters? Which matters?

5. Bush kills two birds one lousy stone
He distances himself from Rudy, and uses a pawn to do it...
Not to mention * looks like the vigilant little good boy in all this. I guess * only has a problem with shady "PUBLIC" pasts.

The greater problem is this is taking away from fraud, and a stolen election.

These guys knew who Kerik was, and they care enough about him to use him. I don't care one way or the other they are all scumbags and should fry.

6. I don't this was a clever chess move.
They thought Kerik would inspire fear of another 9/11 since he was on hand for the first one.

Bush himself and Cheney have spotty records from before taking office, so they didn't know that would be a big deal.

14. Second term power gambits
Guiliani was the real schmuck in all this. But Bush just did it because he could and wanted to see what he could get away with. Kerik was branded expendable and congenial. That's all Bush wanted. Shrug. he gets another creep and then another. This is no big deal for the Chimperor. Neither is Homeland Security in case NO ONE NOTICED.

While puzzling out the mundane court intrigue from the land of secrets and spoiled underwear, the REAL story is the bottomless low regard Bush arrogantly demonstrates for the very concept of duty and service in our vital national offices and interests.

2. But they always hire doughbrain kids and sleezebag Rambos
from all over the planet, to work in Iraq. They know Rove will come up with a 'strategy' if they get caught with their pats down. So, their motto is, 'Do' until you get stopped - claim ignorance.

3. They're none too swift, and they think they can get away with anything
He was a henchman for the privileged, and was as dirty as most commoner enablers; the hubris of the mob just leads them to think that they can get away with anything. Just because they get away with amazing things, don't think they're competent; they're just willful, shameless, and backed by massive power and influence.

4. Bush's appointment of this retarded baffoon is proof positive
GW Bush doesn't give a shit about the safety of America.
the man was an incompetent in NYC. he was dragged over the coals over his response to 9-11.

BUT he did say that if Kerry were elected, there would be another terror attack in America and Bush rewarded the puppy.

7. Kerik is a douchebag
and he fit right in with Buscho. They saw a kindred spirit and they don't really care what anybody thinks of them now, so they figured what the heck. They don't care about him, either, ultimately, so throw him to the wolves, try to brag about how their vetting process was so good with everybody else. :eyes:

8. Kerik was perfect for the job
Edited on Wed Dec-15-04 12:48 AM by Must_B_Free
an egomaniac on-the-take brutality lover. He would follow any order from Bush no matter how corrupt. Red Alert, no problem boss...

Plus Bushies probably like having dirt on a guy to be able to manipulate him thoroughly.

9. you make it sound as if there is one iota of competence at the White House
In four years, I have failed to see any evidence of this.

Put it this way, there is no way the White House would have risked making Kerik such a visible stumper for Bush in October if they knew anything like this could break.

And please, you cannot be so shallow that you have to embrace everything that bush is against.

It's ok if you and GWB both think someone is a scum bag. It doesn't make you a republican.

11. How do you fuck up everything and come out smelling like a rose
Look incompetant. If they looked competant, you might look at some of the events over the past four years differently. More deeply, but if it's incompetance, you shrug call them lousy and MOVE ON!

9/11 MOVED ON!
ANTHRAX MOVED ON!
WMD MOVED ON!
and these are just the big ones...

12. Ever live in the south?
This would be the Good Ole Boys Network. Even if someone took the time to do a background check, it would not have mattered what it said. If someone wanted to make a big deal out of it, that someone would have been fired. Period.

No one made a stink when he was chosen for the Iraq job (which he didn't finish, BTW) and no one leaked information to the press then. Why shouldn't the * Administration try to sneak another one by?

The difference was that this time someone spoke up and alerted the press. Here's hoping that person stays dug in and continues talking.

13. How did they not know? They listened to their "gut"s, of course...
...and liked a consumate yes-man.

Look for that to be next on the list of "reforms": presidential waivers on security disclosures for persons he's hand-picked for jobs.

15. All this buzz about Kerik
Everyone has their panties in a knot about Kerik (who is now a completely dead issue) while Gonzalez and Condi slip in under the radar. Once again, the brainless Chimp hands us our lunch.
