"Pro-Lifers" to a degree
More hypocrisy to chew on from the anti-choice zealots.
Ya see they aren't really that zealous after all.
I wonder just how many folks who truly believe the government should outlaw abortion have "Made in China" products in their homes or shop at Wal Mart?
My guess is the VAST MAJORITY!!

China has forced abortion as their government's policy.

I have met Vegans who are more thorough in their beliefs then these so-called "Christians". Most vegans I meet don't where leather and are always looking out to buy products that don't involve animals in their production. I gotta respect that.
What I don't respect is these Mahoney types yelling and screaming against abortion while firmly wrapped in their Chinese made shoes and clothes.

1. being pro-life is not about stopping abortions
it's all about stopping people from having sex.

3. No, it's about making more white babies
and poor black ones.

At the rate they're killing our soldiers over there, we'll need lots of poor kids to grow up and be the neo-con's playthings. And we want nice white babies for the rich infertile fundies.

Funny how none of the Pro-birthers volunteered to rescue any pregnant Iraqis from that nation before we blew it to smithereens. Jeebus doesn't love Iraqi babies!

8. Yep. I had a Republican friend once who believed abortion should be
Edited on Wed Nov-17-04 08:55 AM by Iris
a REQUIREMENT for certain people.

How 'bout that for respect for life.

I don't mean to be disrespectful of some people who are pro-life b/c they really believe in the value of every human life (which I suspect a lot of pro-life people here do), but I really wish people who vote Republican b/c they think it is moral would take a look at who they're in bed with. Like the shock jocks on my local Cox right winger radio station who gleefully expounded on one of their co-workers getting drunk at a work event and telling his wife in front of them that she'd better get ready b/c he was "hittin' it all night long whether you like it or not."

Now those are some GREAT family values. I can see why we need to "keep marriage sacred" by restricting it to one man and one woman. Yes, indeed.

5. Yes! That's what I've been saying, too. But wait, there's more!
They want people to have sex ONLY for the purpose of pro-creation. And only within the context of the man-woman married state. And only in certain proscribed ways (none of that "kinky" stuff). And if a woman dies because of pregnancy complications, she dies. It's God's will!

And oh by the way:

War is peace
Freedom is slavery
Ignorance is strength.

1984 is here!

2. "Pro-Birth"
Let's start calling them what they really are...Pro-Birth. Once the child is born they couldn't care less what happens next. If they are truly pro-life, why aren't they more out-spoken about the hundreds of thousands of lives lost in this immoral war...or the death penalty?

12. Pro Birth is all they are
Where's the support for crack babies, war orphans, mentally and physically challenged children sitting in foster homes? They can sit back when these children die and say it's "God's will" and "at least they weren't aborted." :puke: on them all!

4. The term "pro-life" has to go
It's anti-choice plain and simple. These hypocrites aren't letting people live. I know I am preaching to the choir here, but when I hear the term "pro-life" it boils my blood a bit.
OK, it's early and I just can't think, but why mention Wal Mart in this thread? Are they connected to China? Sorry for being so unaware this morning, but I am still mentally asleep. :)

7. According to the Frontline report on NPR last night
More and more businesses are moving their manufacturing operations to China so that Wal-Mart will buy their products at those "cheap prices" they take such pride in offering their customers. And it seems many of the companies are falling in line, 'cause they need WM to carry and market their goods.

I confess I fell asleep before the end of the show, but I believe that was the bottom line. Wal-Mart's way or the highway. Hard to argue with the nation's biggest retailer!

13. OK thanks
That's pretty interesting and maybe I will look more into this. I always like having "ammunition" when the fundies that I know get on their "holier than thou" kicks.

As a punishment for women enjoying sex.
