My new name for repukes...repubots...
I don't know if this is original, I haven't seen it anywhere else, but I think it's an apt concept for repubs that drank the Kool-ade and turned into robots.

1. I like it!
It's shorter than "Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living And Became Mixed Up Zombies".

3. Kool-aid! Oh, Yeah!!!
Like the idea, but having trouble figuring out which sylable should get the accent; how about shortening it to just REBOTS?

4. I don't know ....
When I pronounce it it sounds like "repu" as in reputable. That would be a postitive connotation.

I don't see pronouncing it as "repuhbots".

Rupublidroids? Republibots?

13. Wow, you found a new insult name to call people you disagree with.
What have you accomplished by thinking up new slurs? What good does it do? What does name calling and gratuitous insulting do, except make for a more acrimonious country. Instead of acting like immature Republicans, we should be denouncing them for their anti-American intolerance and childishness. Your little antics makes it harder for Democrats to win the maturity debate.

There's an old Buddhist saying: "Choose your enemies wisely, for you shall become them." In your case, Javaman, I'd say the process is coming along quite well.

15. This kind of game just seems juvenile
It seems the intent is to make fun of the fact that none of them are capable of independent thought and make up for it by boiling things down to pathetic phrases and childish words...by calling them childish names. Maybe if you're shootin' for the irony angle, I guess, but it really doesn't seem like you'll be using it ironically.

But then again, if we can't be immature party hacks on DU...where can we do it? If we do it anywhere else, people might notice :)

17. I'm an immature party hack on my blog too. LOL
The term in my view is not for the general republican lot, it's for the ultra-no questioning authority-right wing religious zealots. These are the lockstep scary ones and are deserving of the phrase repubot.

16. We do need a replacement
I see the term "Repuke" all over this board, and I don't like it, for two reasons:

1) You can learn from puke. "20 beers should be enough for anyone" and "If it's got a tear in it, it isn't vacuum-sealed any more" rank high on life's lessons learned. What have you learned from a Republican lately?

2) I think people should be nice, and "Repuke" is not nice.
