1. Friends are friends; people are people; love is love. If it's between two
consenting adults, it's nobody else's damn business.
It is certainly a civil rights issue. Will try to find excellent sermon excerpt reprinted in Mpls Star Tribune today...made me cry it was so good.

2. MMmm kay... who voted FOR closets?
LOL! If i knew there weren't freepers lurking that would be ironic.

I'm somewhere inbetween "hardly think about it" and swap relationship advice with"..

3. I spent my teenage years with a homosexual couple living on one side
and a Mormon family on the other.

OF the two sets of neighbors, the biggest assholes were the Mormons.

The guys on the other side were nice, kind, and gerneally good people. The Mormons were evil, IMO.

12. I have to agree
I moved to a beautifully scenic area in Southern Utah in the 80's.

I lived in three different places and each time, the Mormon families next to me screamed and yelled at each other like nothing I had ever heard before.

13. Hows it like living with Mormons?
My GF is getting transfered to the company HQ outside of SLC, and she wants me to go with her. In my heart, I'd follow her to the gates of Hell, but I'd kind of like to know what I'm getting into, here.

Went down there with her a couple weeks ago, and spent a week, but that was just so tourist. I did find that all I could get at the airport was crummy machine coffee! Yuk, looks like I'm going to have to smuggle in some Millstone from LatteLand (WA state) if I'm going to survive!

14. SLC isn't so bad. There are many fewer Mormons there.
You didn't find the Starbucks at the airport?

I'm sure there is a Costco in the SLC area . . . they are nearly everywhere, aren't they?

Also, the Mormons in a big city are of a better, different breed than those found in the small, inbred towns in Southern Utah.

Don't shop at ZCMI or other Mormon-owned businesses and don't let the missionaries in your door. The techniques they use to convert people are akin to "Have you stopped beating your wife yet?"

17. I think Utah went more than 70% for Bush.
That would be an intolerable place to live. A significant percentage of mormons must be ASSHOLES for the election to go that way.

18. I ALWAYS talk to the missionaries!
The first words out of their mouth are usually to ask me if I'd like a copy of the BOM.

My answer, "I've got a couple of copies and have read it?"

First response form the 18 year old elders, "Oh really, what did you think of it?"

My (usually final) answer, "It reads like a third grader tried to rewrite the Old Testament making up nonsense as he went along!"

They usually run away at this point because their answer to the notion that Smith wrote the BOM is that he only had a third grade education.

5. Actually, it DOES cross my mind. But I don't care.
I don't feel bad, either, because my gay friends are the worst offenders!

8. Ugh! I just don't understand, or approve of what straight people do.
I mean, two people of the OPPOSITE GENDER, for God's sakes! Having fornicational relations with one another...and sometimes BREEDING? :wow:

It's just un-natural. It's against God's law!

16. I don't understand your question and answers.
I guess my attitude would be "parts is parts. We're all born one foot in the grave. Who the hell cares who sticks what where?"
