I mean seriously. Let's look at how bigoted we all are.

First of all we must all hate WASPs, as proven by the immense hatred of Bush here.

And we all are obviously misogynists (I guess the women are self loathing), which is proven by what is said about Ann Coulter here.

And of course almost everyone on DU has said some nasty things about Clarence Thomas, Condi Rice or Colin Powell before, so almost everyone is a racist.

And the fact that Drudge isn't too popular proves we're all homophobes (quite a few self loathing gays here then but oh well...)

And of course, DUers are extremely anti-semetic, as is proven by the extreme dislike of Lieberman.

say 'everyone' but there does seem to be a rise in intolerance. I don't mind the hyperbole thrown at Right Wingers but the lack of respect for the opinions of other DUers (we're supposedly all on the same side here) is disturbing.

This stuff has the makings of a Republicans wet dream. Divide and conquer the liberals. Honest debaate about the issues is one thing. Calling someone a dimwit because of their support for another candidate is petty.

So let's not accuse 'everyone" of bigotry because that just adds fuel to the fire. It would be nice, though, if we could be a bit more civil to one another. We are all supposedly on the same side.
