I could quite possibly be jumping to conclusions about what that thread is all about because I have even refused to open it despite the 200+ responses.

Isn't this our problem? We are SCREWED because the right wing and compliant media revel in boiling down and describing important and controversial issues to bullet points the "masses" can memorize and repeat.

There are a whole host of reasons to support a variety of gun control measures. Just as hunters and others have a point about maintaining gun ownership rights.

Gun control spans the spectrum from some people wanting law about trigger locks/and or gun safes.

Others want ballistics database for all guns sold.

Others want compulsory gun use/safety training

Others want complete ban on all handguns

Others want complete ban on all guns everywhere.

Still others want a nationwade gun registration.

So....how's a person supposed to boil their personal understanding and opinion on all that to just 5 words? I reject the premise of the post.
