OK, why are we in Fallujah again?
Let's see, we invaded a country which did not attack us, which never threatened to attack us, and had no contact with those who were planning to attack us. Even if this country had wanted to attack us, it didn't have the weapons to attack us with. And the one guy who might remotely have hated us enough to one day attack us is now gone.

So, what's this thing in Fallujah about? How are these people a threat to me and my freedom?

1. To halt the spread of communism.
If we don't liberate Fallujah, all the countries of the world will fall like dominoes until it gets to the United States.

5. War interrupted to make Bush look like the Peace President during
the election. Now it's time to kill off those insurgents and their relatives. Don't let them retreat because they will only retreat to a new scene of fighting.

7. Rumsfeld Looks to Military Success to 'Tip' Iraqi Opinion
Rumsfeld argued Monday that Iraqi public opinion was at a "tipping point" and that defeating the insurgents in Fallouja could help nudge a large majority of Iraqis into supporting the U.S.-backed interim government

8. WE ARE THERE
I think we are killing people who might vote against Bush's selections for Iraqi leaders. I hope the people we are killing got their absentee ballots in on time!

9. I'm going to bet the Iraqis keep fighting
Who's with me? I think this is a pretty sure bet. It will whack-a-mole as the rebels move from city to city. They outnumber us, and they are getting reinforcements.

Oh, and, I'm just going to bet that not everyone in Iraq will submit to the results of the "election." I'm going out on a limb here, but I bet large groups of Iraqis will not see the election as legitimate.

10. We need to defend our country
by violently suppressing all opposition to puppet governments we install in other countries. Makes perfect sense.

13. Hell why are we in IRAQ?
Why are we killing Iraqis?

Someone explain that to me. It makes no sense.

Where is the Dem leadership? Why are they not screaming these questions from the hilltops?

16. As a poster last night put it:
"This battle will ultimately decide the outcome of this war and its effect on America. It bothers me to see so little coverage on what may prove to be the most significant part of this war on terror."

I hope that clears it up for you.
