I honestly think * is about to blow
He's had non-stop negative press since he's ended his last "vacation".

As soon as the jerk got off vacation, he dropped the dog on tarmac enroute to DC.

He completely lost it yesterday, when he was greeted with rowdy (but righteous :D ) protestors at one of his standard staged photo ops.

The crowd didn't cheerfully hail him, and the protestors pissed him off to the point where he threw his photo op prop, er, union jacket on the floor of AF One.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Be afraid :scared:

Be very afraid :scared:

I hope Cheney keeps his away from the "button".

1. Blow?
Anyone in the news?

Barney? Something on his pig-farm?

2. I hadn't heard about the tantrum on AF1
Where did you hear about that? It does sound in character. There were two threads today that gives credence to your thoughts-the article in the London Guardian about *'s unresolved anger coupled with his rigidity and the investigative report tonite (and tomorrow) on CBS about the roots of 9/11 (all the way back to 1989). If people pay attention, there's some glimmer of hope.

3. Time for the 25th amendment?
Part 4. "Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President."

Since everything is in the hands of the Republican party, it's going to have to be his own that bring him down. Even if it leaves Cheney as acting President this won't be a bad thing. The fact that they had to remove Bush from office will leave a very bad taste in the mouth of the electorate.

7. Cheney
would never be able to keep up with the grind of a campaign for the presidency. So either he wouldn't run for re-election or it would kill him.

Until now, I had thought it would be best if Cheney was removed from office first, but it might actually work out for the best if W goes first?

8. I think so too.
Cheney might even hand the Presidency off to the next in line. Is that Frist? I don't think either Cheney or Frist would have a prayer's chance for re-election.

16. I stand corrected.
:-) I was guessing about Frist and didn't bother to look it up. I don't think anyone will matter after W is gone because of the fact the Repukes backed him and it makes them look like crooks and idiots. Gerald Ford couldn't overcome the stink from the Nixon administration and neither will any successor to Bush.

17. Doesn't matter
because Cheney would be allowed to nominate some one else to be VP, who must be confirmed by Congress. So we don't know who the next in line would be, but it would have to be a Jerry Ford type repug in order to get confirmed.

9. You're right - Cheney as Pres would be no worse than *
Even if it leaves Cheney as acting President this won't be a bad thing. The fact that they had to remove Bush from office will leave a very bad taste in the mouth of the electorate.

Since Bush is a puppet and he isn't running things now anyways. And Bush getting the boot would be hugely demoralizing to the Repukes.

That said, I have to say I am still in the camp "never going to happen". But, then again, there's only so much he and the institution can take before SOMETHING has to give.

14. Cheney couldn't handle it with his health.
I think he would be just a figure head and have as much effect as a lame duck. It would be all over then.

13. Got off vacation??!!

When did the punkass sob ever start working??!!

If the poor baby can't stand the heat of politics (which incidentally has been very kind to him) then he should never have gone into politics, stayed a faliure-civillian and just asked his daddy to buy give another baseball.

If he can't handle a few rough days then maybe he should look into something a little less strenuous: like staying on vacation permanently.

21. jesus, he threw a tantrum cuz he heard protestors?
The hand-wringing, nail-biting chimpy-bitches who wait on AWOL's ass are now gonna demand the first amendment zones (GAAAAAAAACK! pardon me) be enforced more strictly...they will be on the phones to the locals threateniing their heads if they don't start fencing the protestors a full 1/4 mile from bunnypants' presence at all times. These chimpy-bitches are sick, malformed, karmically leprous pussies who ACTUALLY tremble when bunnypants throws his jacket down in anger. They will get the locals to conform. They always do, because their fear is contagious. The local law should tell them to fuck off, but when you have grown men trembling because some well connected shithead has a tantrum, well, the locals get jittery. Watch for crackdowns.

23. They (the elders) would throw a sack over him and lock him up...
...before they'd let him have a public meltdown. I wouldn't be surprised if he suddenly became "ill" and disappeared from the limelight for a period of time (just like they used to do to the various Soviet leaders when they double-crossed the Politburo). Is Texas the US's "Crimea?"
