4. I'm almost finished his book...
A great book countering those assholes with the truth as opposed to propaganda that they spew.. Thank God Franken is there to fight the fight.

5. With Terry Gross????
Edited on Tue Sep-02-03 07:55 PM by gristy
She is the greatest. I'll never forget an interview with Arethra Franklin. Ms. Franklin was answering one of Terry's questions and made a reference to a song, and Terry interupted and quoted the relevant lyrics from the song.

Franklin's breath was taken away as she remarked "Yes! You go girl". Or something like that.

Terry brings out the best in all her guests. Odds are she will have already read Al's book. Her show is 8pm on MPR 91.1 in Minnesota.

8. WLRN in South Florida has replace "Fresh Air" with "Day2Day,"
the bland NPR version of Slate magazine. Naturally this was done without announcement or explanation to its listeners, at least that I ever heard. And I listen most of the work day.

So now I get to hear on Day2Day everything I already read in Slate.

And I miss Terry Gross very much.

9. It looks like...
... you can go to the NPR site (www.npr.org) and listen to the shows. Today's isn't posted yet, but I'm sure it will be, at some point.
