Freepers, Subversives, Disruptors and Radicals. All are unhealthy to
us Democrats here in DU.

The freepers are usually fairly easy to recognise. They misspell a lot and talk pure crap towards us. They are usually tombstoned in a matter of minutes. We get them almost every day and sometimes several times a day. Many of their letters are found in the hate mail column and archives.

Subversives are generally the more intelligent of the Freepers but they also include the Professionals. The subs worm their way into conversations, tilt the conversation to whichever way they want it to go and smile at the tilt, always away from Democrats. The Pros never leave a hint other than they are less obvious than the freepers or the subversives. After all, the pros do it for a living or for absolute personal pleasure. Either way, it's a thinking game. GAME.

Disruptors are just that. They don't have an agenda at all. They just like to sidetrack the subject and change it it by whatever means. Many freepers, subversives and Pro's are guilty of the same and are accordingly tombstoned but by far many of them are yet undiscovered. As Dems, we tend to accept rather than reject. That's what makes us different from FR.com. They reject in a heartbeat or at least slower than we tend.

Radicals are also dangerous territory. They tend to focus on a single subject and drive it to the ground. Several of the freepers, subversives, professionals and disruptors are also radicals. Or they pretend to be. It's still a judgement call. You make your own call.

Psychoblues, A solid Democrat.

3. Aren't delusions always a part of paranoia?
A redundant descript but well taken nonetheless, Wonk.

Thanks

7. Spot on about the subversives
Successful internet marketing is a very crafty and sophisticated business and companies (many of which fly beneath the radar) do employ trained professionals who montitor and interject their messages onto large or targeted bulliten boards. Sometimes they're easy to spot; sometimes they're more subtle.

I've seen it at work here on DU and in other places. I think the best examples I've seen have been on some of the longer fast food threads, although as a poster pointed out the other day, the Republican party has hired an internet marketing company that brags about its "subversive" efforts on its website. I wish I'd bookmarked the site. Can't seem to find it on a search.
