Turn off cable news or use it?

Here is the dilemma...our family is going blue, and I am helping assemble blue shopping lists for publication on my web site. Doing what we can. The media is an obvious problem. I've already cut back seriously on cable news since the fraud, but I wonder, as I sit teeveeless this morning; should we at least monitor some of the news networks to know which advertisers not to frequent? I don't mean full-on watch them, rather, more the way I "listen" to Rush...15 minutes every now and then in the car. Any advertiser I hear on Rush's show I refuse to patronize.

Of course, Rush's advertisers are mostly snake-oil salesmen hawking garlic pills and the like (I still don't drink Snapple), and CNN is pretty much the same...I mean, how hard will it be not to patronize the Deep Water Explorers of Kerr-McGee? But still, this almost seems to fall under the "know your enemy" clause. How else will we know who is against democracy if we don't at least occasionally check up on them?
