From Kerry
The Kerry-Edwards Online Forum was developed and maintained by grassroots volunteers with the authorization of Kerry-Edwards 2004 Inc. We wish to thank everyone who participated in the discussions here.

Since members overwhelmingly expressed a desire to continue this discussion, the volunteer mods and admins have set up a new forum to continue the dialog. We invite all Kerry-Edwards Online Forum members to join the Common Ground-Common Sense Internet Town Meeting for Progressives, Moderates and Independents. The new forum can be found at:

CommonGroundCommonSense.org <http://commongroundcommonsense.org>

This is your opportunity to continue to participate in a nationwide discussion of the issues our country faces. We call all Americans to raise their voices against special interests and stand up for our democracy.

In this diverse nation of ours, we come from different backgrounds and live different lifestyles. But there is so much that unifies us. It is vital that we seek that common ground! We all share a spirit of Democracy, love of Liberty, and pride in our patriotic history. Every American is united in their quest for economic security, their desire for a cleaner environment, good schools for this nation‚s children, more affordable healthcare for all ˆ and of course, freedom and justice.

Americans know that this is more than a dream; these things are within reach. We shouldn‚t have to surrender our civil liberties for national security. It‚s time for a common sense approach.

It was this fight for democracy that Benjamin Franklin had in mind when he answered a Philadelphia woman who asked him what the Constitutional Convention had created: "A Republic, if you can keep it." Welcome to the forum!
