New Label for Blue State Repubs: "Trent Lott Conservatives"
Edited on Fri Nov-05-04 04:40 PM by Sandpiper
If you've lived in Jesusland, you know that a favorite pejorative term for Red State Democrats is "Teddy Kennedy Liberals."

Well, I say the time to throw that back in their face is long overdue.

From now on, Blue State Republicans should be referred to as "Trent Lott Conservatives."

Ex: Rick Santorum needs to go. Pennsylvania doesn't need a Trent Lott Conservative.

6. I prefer "Jerry Falwell Republicans"
GOP apparatchiks like Trent Lott, Bill Frist, and Tom DeLay are unknown to most Americans.

Just about everyone knows Jerry Falwell. Few like him. The only Republicans who don't consider him a liability are the Alan Keyes types: the extreme right-wingers and true theocrats.

Let's make the Republican Party and political conservatism synonymous with Falwell. Let's make "conservative" a dirty word. Let's force the Republicans to distance themselves from the theocrats (thus losing the fundamentalist base) or face the consequences.
