We have to. We need to take the best parts of their successful ideas and emulate them. Including their creation of a successful sub-economy that funds them.

The blue states have the money. That money funds the red state excesses in every case, on every level. They take our money and turn their back on us, scorning us at every turn.

We have to find a way to fire back. We have to create a progressive economic infrastructure. One that works, makes money and creates that which needs to be created. Jobs, benefits and funding for progressive political initiatives and philosophies.

Yes, I completely understand that this, like most other ideas posted on this forum, will rapidly descend into the bit bucket, as soon as I post it. But I will not forget.

1. I really wish it was possible to get a list of Dem-supporting
businesses. We boycott Republicans, but what we should be doing is patronizing Democratic leaning businesses.

3. I Do This As Much As Possible!
I, for example, haven't had a pizza-hut pizza since they used rush limpballs as a spokesman some 10 years ago. I also never ate domino's since I heard that their founder was a right winger. I'm also proud to say that in my drinking days I never bought a coors beer. I avoid right wing/rethuglican businesses as much as possible!

P.S. I've also discovered some REALLY GOOD mom & pop pizza places, too

4. I think even beyond this is the need to buy both blue and local.
These freaks are going to destroy the economy. Even the Dem supporting corporations are still just mega corporations, and can change their stripes. Though we do need to buy from Costco and Target instead of WalMart, we also must find our fellow Dem merchants and professionals locally and buy from them as often as possible. Building our network locally and linking local network to local network will give us economic power and independence. It's what the fundies have been up to for years. They support their own and ONLY their own.
