7. Is that for real or is it photoshopped?
It doesn't piss me off as much as the Bush as Jesus picture. At least in this one he is shown as himself. Not being Jewish myself, I probably need to be informed as to why this is offensive to Jews? Is it as offensive as the Jesus picture is to Christians?

9. not jewish either...
Although I have close family memebers who are. The importance is the location (the wailing wall) which is a sacred site in Jerusulem (I believe). It would be like Sharon praying at the Vatican or something, it looks nice but really it can't be sincere. At least thats how I see it.

10. can't you see this being passed around the M.E.?
Hey, the article mentions Ol' Daddy Prescott (sort of):

In 1998, George W. Bush took his first and only trip to the Holy Land. During a helicopter tour—guided by none other than Ariel Sharon—Bush was astonished to discover how tiny Israel is compared to its Arab neighbors. He later described the visit as one of the most meaningful experiences of his life. A photographer captured a striking image of Bush, in a yarmulke, standing reverently at the Wailing Wall.

The picture may be a symbol of Bush foreign policy these days, but it speaks to an even more startling truth: Bush is the first in his family of politicians to craft a pro-Jewish image. Starting with accusations that Prescott Bush was a Nazi collaborator before Pearl Harbor, the Bush dynasty has generally been viewed with suspicion and at times outright hostility by Jewish Americans. The elder President Bush outraged the Jewish community with a series of perceived insults. Before he became president, the younger Bush, who once expressed doubt about whether non-Christians could get into heaven, seemed likely to follow in the family tradition.

33. Not just "Before Pearl Harbour", but after, too.
Like, to almost the end of 1942. Banker, supplier of oil to the U-Boats, manager of the company who owned the ships that carried said oil...
and money is NOT all Prescott Bush and his boys shared with Adolf Hitler...

``The must put the most modern medical means in the service of this knowledge.... Those who are physically and mentally unhealthy and unworthy must not perpetuate their suffering in the body of their children.... The prevention of the faculty and opportunity to procreate on the part of the physically degenerate and mentally sick, over a period of only 600 years, would ... free humanity from an immeasurable misfortune.'' Adolf Hitler

``The per capita income gap between the developed and the developing countries is increasing, in large part the result of higher birth rates in the poorer countries.... Famine in India, unwanted babies in the United States, poverty that seemed to form an unbreakable chain for millions of people--how should we tackle these problems?.... It is quite clear that one of the major challenges of the 1970s ... will be to curb the world's fertility.'' George H. W. Bush

Read Tarpley. Here:

http://www.tarpley.net/bush3.htm

The Bush family have ALWAYS been BIG supporters of Eugenics and Racial "Purity"....

People of the Jewish (or any) Faith should puke to see chimpy at the Wailing Wall.

13. Oh c'mon.
Paraphrasing: "Despite flip-flopping entirely on the jewish issue after he got a chance to align himself with them after 9/11, his warmth towards the jewish people seems genuine."

Does this woman believe herself?

And his family wealth and status being founded on Nazi blood money does no more than 'provide endless fodder for leftists and conspiracy theorists'. Also, they're not accusations, they're convictions by the courts, lady.

15. Why?
When I was in Israel, I visited both the Wailing Wall and the Dome of the Rock. If you took a picture at either place (though photos are typically forbidden in each case), you would have thought I sided with one group or the other.

Instead, I have great respect for both. They are two of the most historical, religious and awe-inspiring places I have ever been.

At the Western Wall. She showed me her photos. Lots of photos taken at the wall. Thing that POd me was that the kid's mother had to stand away from the damned wall. She was not allowed inside.

It offended me. Showed the women are not the equals of men. Worse than the Catholic church that I was raised in.

Don't you get it? The second coming is tied to the rebuilding of the temple. They only favor Israel in order to advance the Rapture. They don't care about the Jewish people, unless they are willing to convert.

23. The fact that the Bush family fortune was made from supporting Hitler.....
...makes this picture even more sickening. And though I'm not Jewish, it is just as disgusting to me as the "George W, Christ" pics from last week. It also reminds me of a scripture that refers to the antichrist desecrating the Temple in Jerusalem, as was prophesized by Daniel. True, the Wailing Wall isn't exactly the rebuilt Temple, but it's still a very sacred place to the Jewish people and not at all appropriate for the grandson of a Nazi banker to be seen there.

28. When was shrubby in Israel let alone at the
Kotel? This has got to be photoshopped! If it is not photoshopped then yes, as a Jew, it does tick me off. This man and his family HATES, LOATHS AND DESPISES Jews and for him to have the chutzpah to go to Judaism's holiest site cheapens it immensely.

OH I so do not like this man!

On the spot (in 1998 yet) to capture this "private" moment?

Everything this man does smacks of insincerity, but his continuing public displays of oh-holy-me piousness are particularly galling.
