1. Yes, same as you and I still feel sick to my stomach and
feel like I can't catch my breath. Hopefully this won't last all four years! Take care of yourself and take it easy. :)

2. Woke up last night
with a horrendous migraine. And I have a nervous twitch in my right eye lid.

It will pass. I know I cannot live with this intense anxiety for another four years so will work on channeling it into positive things.

I hope to be able to help plan a wedding for my son and his fiancee for next summer. I have an art show coming up that I need to get working on. I have a stack of books 3 feet high I haven't read. My garden needs attention.

I have said before that the one silver lining in all of this is that George will have a terrible four years. He will be up to his neck in the flood of shit that he has created. He may drown in it. What goes around comes around. It didn't happen soon enough to suit me, but it will happen.

8. YES!
Yesterday I cried my eyes out and then fell asleep. I have not had nightmares in years but I had TWO last night.

The first one - I was sleeping and some man came in and stuck a knife to my throat and stole all my things. I remember telling him that my computer was very old and not worth taking but he took it anyway. I was able to get a tiny piece that was necessary for it to work so he would not be able to use it or sell it anyway. The second nightmare was similar but I don't remember much about it except that same man.

Today I woke up with a pounding headache. Partially from all the crying I'm sure. But I think just going through this and working so hard only to realize that most Americans actually WANTED Bush to be president is DEPRESSING. I feel like I am living in a land of idiots.

What I did not know is the Christian Coalition had been working for months handing out "bipartisan" information to everyone they could get their hands on. I thought we had a good underground going but it seems as if they had a better one.

9. Nausea, headache
and that was BEFORE I started drinking last night. I feel better physically today. Some of the shock and stress chemicals that were dumped into my system are starting to dissipate. Mentally.....I'm still very, very upset.........but I'm dealing with it a little better. I'm still in my self-imposed news black-out bubble, though. Only hanging out at DU or my other favorite blogs.

12. yes, a general feeling that I was in a stupor, as if I had been punched
in the face or hit my head or was in a car accident. Where you say did that really happen, what just happened, etc.

17. I was definitely depressed yesterday.
Edited on Thu Nov-04-04 12:57 PM by Lydia Leftcoast
I had all my usual symptoms: insomnia without being tired the next day, absent-mindedness, a tendency to tear up, irritability, racing thoughts, and a craving for sweets.

As is usual at the beginning of the month, I don't have much work coming in. If I did, I'd be unable to handle it.

I was on the phone with my mother (age 83) today and yesterday. She says that she feels as if someone she loves has died and that she's scared about the future.

18. I'm oK now, but while watching it all unfold
I was nauseous, had incredibly tense, painful knots in my stomach, my teeth were chattering as if I were ice cold, and my heart was racing on and off......

:puke: :scared: :puke: :grr:

So, yeah, I had a few phsycial reactions to all of this....

Now I am in a general state of mourning....but OK....

I had a very busy day and had to eat lunch on the run in the car. Bush's speech came on, and I literally could not swallow. Had to spit out the food. Gave up after 3 trys.

And I still feel tired. Had aches and pains on Wednesday morning, but that was due to alcohol poisoning.

30. threw up Tuesday night
Partly induced by the wine I was sucking down the worse things got, partly the nausea I feel at the prospect of four more years of hell. Talked to a friend down the coast here in oh so blue CA, she barfed all night too.
