2. You know what
that sounds like the best advice I heard all day.

The only problem is that the Daily Show is on Cable TV.

3. There are certain programs I like on cable, but I never watch
the crappy media...I could never understand how people here could watch it...it would be like pouring salt into a open wound.

4. just don't think I could get through the day without
Jon Stewart!

He made me smile today - and it was the only time that happened (and it was a rerun from the night before, when there was still hope for a win).

But, as William Pitt says, the sun will come up tomorrow and life goes on and nothing has changed in what we need to do and I will not give up - of course he says it much better.

And, if it was not for Jon Stewart, I would give up cable in a heartbeat.

5. There are too many channels I love....IFC, Sundance Channel...
Comedy Central. I don't have to watch the crappy networks and programs.

6. Why do I keep hearing this?
... WTF does my cable have to do with politics?

... I choose cable modem over dial-up because of speed and efficiency. Also, many of the learning channels are very informative. My family likes to watch some of the HBO movies.

... Why should I cancel cable? I want a serious answer please.

7. I think the OP is referring to how poor some of the political and "news"
shows are that are shown on cable.
