Geroge Soros, Ted Turner and some of the Dem celebrities $$$
need to get a hold on a media outlet. We/they need to buy out a network or something to get some real objective coverage and break the monopoly that the RW/military industrial complex has on the mainstream media in this country.
I truly beleive that if the media deck had not been stacked to favor the RW, Kerry would have won handily.
Is there any chance of this happening?

1. this, imho, will be the first step. We have to be able to get our message
out in mainstream media. Right now, it will never be heard with big corporations owning abc, nbc, etc...

2. I don't have much money, but I'll invest.

If they won't, then we have to.

10. I have suggested this before - If someone set up a
capital stock corporation to do this, lots of people could invest in it. Plenty of people have IRAs, 401Ks, etc. that could be transferred into shares of stock. You don't necessarily need extra cash to invest.

3. I agree
As long as the junta controls all the media outlets, there will be no hope.

Creating an alternative media is imperative.

6. The next time a station's stock tanks when they threaten to air
"Stolen Honor", we can buy up their stoc kCHEAP, and tell them what we want to see:

-OBJECTIVE journalism with commentary frmo Michael Moore and Soros.
-Exposing ANY and ALL RW lies and liars (Coulter, Rush, etc...)

11. I've been wishing for that for a while now.
They could probably get $$$ from regular citizen investors like us. A few bucks here and there would add up.

7. I'd invest too
I like this idea. Much of what happened in FLA was not reported on the Crappy News Network. Like the Repukes sue to make all ballots in minority precincts in FLA to be provisional because of "voter irregularities."

They have Faux. Where's our network?

8. Hmmm ... can this be funded by a grass roots foundation?
Thinking about the Dean thing .... but have no idea how much capital needs to be raised.

12. They do need to do this, but then they need to STFU and not
bray far and wide about how they're starting a "liberal network." No one will watch, no matter how good it is, because they have been conditioned. Just buy or start a network, period, and put no-spin news on it! Make it look jazzy and stupid like Fox, with all the clutter and banners and junk, so you can lure them in. It's simple, but we are reluctant to do it for some reason. God knows the Pubs have no problem fucking with the fundies' minds. We need to do it, too.
