"God save us all"

I often read www.antiwar.com to get news on this war that I hate. I often find things written by Pat Buchanan that I actually agree with on many levels (gasp!). Many contributors to the blog and with articles were against both Bush and Kerry and I started to just ignore their opinions and read only news articles.

One of those people that railed against Kerry constantly (as well as Bush) was Justin Raimondo. However, there is part of an opinion piece from last night that sums up how I feel and I decided to share it.

And the winner is...

the neocons will rush to interpret the election as a referendum on the war – and all the wars to come. And, believe me, there's a lot more coming.

If we do, finally, give up the last vestiges of our constitutional form of representative government – in all but name – and take the path of Empire, it will be said by future historians that this, perhaps, was the moment, the turning point, the division between daylight and twilight. God save our old Republic. God save us all.

1. "God Bless America" sounds different through righteous anger

John Kerry closed by saying "God Bless America" and I immediately responded, "God, have mercy on us all."

yes - exactly - god have mercy on the world - because I can't

imagine god blessing america today - we are the evil machine of WMD at this point and over half the people voted for more of the same - and the so called christians who voted for this evil man - are the devil's hand maidens -

we need the world's help - we have leaders who have tortured people and were elected again - this is evil - god can not and will not bless these evil people -

I only hope god will have mercy on the rest for the evil being done again - like hilter to the world - only this time it might end it all - and then it will not matter

2. "Mercy" is a word not to be used

in the New America. Mercy is for godless wimps. As Jesus said in the Holy Bible, "Kill 'em all and let God sort 'em out!" Will they give us sun-block in Gitmo, or will we have to make awnings of our prison uniforms?
