I love watching Dan Rather on election night

He was telling viewers how many polls are still open in various states because of the long lines. He then said "you know, if the brave men and women can do what they're doing in Iraq and Afghanistan, then certainly you can get off your duffs and go vote if you haven't yet. So go vote and then come back and turn us back on."

And of course, he still makes the cute and funny off the cuff analogies that crack me up.

1. Some folk can't stand him.

I kinda like him.

I think I'll be sticking with him tonight. I had planned on CNN but, I don't want a bunch of analysis, just shoot me the numbers baby.

2. Dan is the Man!

I love him! I love his little remarks. He's a true professioanl & CBS is the only news I watch anymore. CBS still has journalist at their network. The others are just stooges! Dan is great at his job! LOVE HIM!

3. I also like how overly energetic he is tonight....

I get the distinct feeling that he's as excited as we are to see the final results. And those analogies crack me up. I'll be watching him until the Daily Show comes on.
