3. My daughters, both 18 and first time voters have organized a GOTV

effort that has recruited 1000 kids, all first time voters and most of them Democratic voters.Awesome effort kids!

This is a lot to put on your young shoulders -- but I am so darn proud and pleased that you guys are answering the call.

You guys are voting for your future -- the votes you cast today will make a big difference in the world you find when you have gray hair and need reading glasses (or whatever).

I know that my generation made a difference in protesting the Vietnam war -- fighting for free speech, etc. And let's not forget Earth day -- begun by the college students in the early 1970s.

8. Today at 7:00 PM my daughters have organized a victory party at

their tennis club. About 400 kids are expected to turn up. When I asked them if I could go, it went over like a lead balloon. I was willing to put up with the hurt in a good cause. Go have fun kids.You have done a great job for our team!

This was my first election. I was 15 when the last one happened and my mom let me go into the poll with her and push the button for Gore. Man, seems like such a long time ago... I feel so grown up. :D
