Do you regret that Dean wasn't nominated?
Edited on Sun Oct-31-04 03:48 PM by captainjack
Be honest - do you wish Dean were the democratic nominee or are you thoroughly convinced that Kerry is the perfect man for the job?

I gave a lot of money(lot for a poor dude) to Dean and have a twinge of regret that an MD(!!!) isn't in the white house. But Kerry's more "mainstream" and nuanced positions will grab a lot of indie and center votes.

*edit* not to demoralize people or anything KERRY ALL THE WAY now...*

11. Dean was my man.
I sent him money.
I handed-out flyers.
I defended his name vociferously here at DU, and elsewhere on the web.

But I'm quite quite quite enamored with the idea of President Kerry. He's a GREAT man.
And I've very very very very very in love with the idea of Kerry picking the next 2 or 3 Supreme Court justices.

And I'm looking forward to watching Freeper heads explode when they realize that their worst nightmare has come true: a "Massachusetts liberal" has taken the White House.

12. Maybe you'd get better responses after Tuesday.
Right now it sounds like you're asking people if they're crying over milk that may or may not spill.

IMHO, of course. IMHO.

18. I think Kerry was and is our best chance for a win.
I think Dean's a great guy, but I think we would have lost unfortunately.

No Democrat in history has ever won on a platform of raising taxes on the middle class. Unfortunately, Dean's platform included wiping out all the Bush tax cuts, which would have been a tax increase on everyone. It would have been a Mondale-sized loss. Kerry's plan to only increase on the wealthy is more win-able. Also, if they tore Kerry apart for going to Vietnam and getting medals, I cannot even imagine what they would have done to Dean for getting out of the war for having a bad knee, then spending the year skiing in Aspen. We would have been toast.

20. No, not this time. Dean is too honest to combat these AH's thins time!
We need a very seasoned politician who's used to devious & underhanded tricks of this crowd. Dean needs a lot more seasoning and rough political experience so he knows how to react. Sorry to say, honesty isn't the best policy in fights like this.
