I'm downloading "Going Upriver" as we speak...any preliminary thoughts?

I have been looking for a decent copy of Going Upriver for a while and finally found one on a Newsgroup. I watched the sample clip and it looks like a damn fine film! I have a few questions about it that I am eager to know RIGHT NOW!!(Download gonna be a while!)

1) Was Ron Kovac ever mentioned in the film? For those familiar with Oliver Stone's "Born on the Fourth of July", Kovac was your basic "Freeper" turned anti-war by his own crippling injury and experiences in a REAL war! I have always admired Kovac, his courage and activism upon returning home, and Stone's film was, for me as a youth, the first glimpse into the seedy underbelly of Vietnam.

2) I hear that O'Neils link to Nixon are exposed, and therefore his motives, but just how extensive does the film show O'Neils links to Bush today?

Once you've gotten an account, go into the site and go to the "MPEG'S and AVI's(videos)" section and go into the "alt.binaries.multimedia.divx" group. Do a search for "Going Upriver" and zip up all 71 RAR parts to download. Once you've downloaded the zip, extract the RAR files into a temp folder, unrar the files to create the Going Upriver .avi file! Pheww! I know it may sound complicated, but it's worth it because the quality is SOOOO good! Not to mention the fact you'll have nearly 5.5GB's left on your Easynews account to get many more films if you choose. You can get old Daily Shows episodes, Farenheit 911, Outfoxed, and tons of anti-Bush films. Not to mention, of course, all the latest DVD releases. You can even download entire music CD's and software!

3. Nixon and Colson were seen recruiting John O'Neill

and the tape of Nixon describing John Kerry was included. However, that's not really what this movie is about.

The rally in DC and the tossing of the medals (and what those medals meant to the men tossing them) really brought those years back, and I did see some familiar faces in that crowd.

It's an incredibly moving film, very well done, and neither a complete Kerry puff piece nor a polemic against Nixon.

I'm on DSL, and that download took well over an hour. It was worth every second of it.
