Who is/What is Link TV??
Question from my hubby, who lurks but does not post. :eyes: (yeah it irritates me too). He has just found this station on the satellite and it seems quite frighteningly fair, showing both 'Going Upriver' and 'Stolen Honor' amongst other 'Forbidden' films on John Kerry, the Shrub, and on the media.
Anyone have a lowdown?
Thanks!

3. Thanks
Actually that thread is how we cottoned on to its existence. We were just wondering who had the audacity ;) to start such a mecca of free speech.
I love NWI, I leave that on as background noise now, although as someone who used to live in the UK, I generally can't stand ITN news (old habits die hard. I'd rather broadband the BBC, or Channel 4 evening shows.

4. If you found that you can receive this wonderful channel you are FORTUNATE
Get down on the floor and thank your lucky stars. :hi:

I assume that you have looked up worldlinkTV on the web, and seen their great lineup of programs. I used to post alerts for ones that are particularly good, but got no response, so gave up on that.

When you get their homepage, under the current programs, you will see some buttons. The one on the far right, gives the whole week schedule at once. When you are looking at the schedule, and see something that sounds interesting, click on it, and and it will give a full description with all the broadcast times, and sometimes a website for that program, too.

For the next couple of days, I would suggest the Max Cleland program..... really moving. Also, the set of three FAQ programs on the military and draft question.

This one looks good to me, and I'm recording it for a friend who wants to show it to their church group:

Missing Peace
Length: 01:00 Type of program: Documentary
Broadcast Times
Friday, October 29 5:00 PM
Saturday, October 30 12:00 AM
Saturday, October 30 6:00 AM
Saturday, October 30 12:00 PM
A look at the widening polarization of religions today and how violence toward “the other” binds people around the world in deepening fear and grief. More specifically, it looks at how religion is being used as a justification for war. Six women (two Muslims, two Jews, and two Christians) present a bold strategy for achieving peace — personally, interpersonally, and globally.

You're in for a great treat!! I'm currently recording things for others who can't get them. YES! :)

Enjoy it! Ohhhh, and don't forget, every day they broadcast Amy Goodman, and DemocracyNOW!
