If you're Christian, you can't be voting for Kerry: Stupid LTTE
This is one of the worst things that I have ever read:

'Christians for Kerry'? Nope, doesn't work

I was saddened to see a "Christians for John Kerry" bumper sticker. Kerry takes non-biblical positions on each of the moral issues at the core of this campaign.

If you vote for Kerry because you might benefit from his ecomonic proposals, then so be it. But don't rationalize the decision to choose materialism over biblical principles as a Christian one.

I am disgusted! I am so tired of being told that if I am a "true" Christian then I have to vote for Bush!!

I am SICK of this CRAP. Sick of it!!!!

1. Write a letter and dispute this asshole.
He needs to know that these fucks do not have a monopoly on Christianity.

3. Oh, I will
I am so sick of this crap. I would ask fellow DUers to help bombard the Charlotte Observer but you have to register for the site and I hate to impose.

I'll be writing though. Good old Nelson is being a bit judgemental and POMPOUS!!!

12. I would start off my letter with...
"How dare you sir? At long last, have you people no decency?"

Something that calls them on their hypocrisy.

But they might not publish it then. That's just me.

4. They must have a form letter in the churches
we've had local letters to the editor saying almost the same things word for word. Of course, they're published even though you're not supposed to use "templates"

5. AGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
Ask this dumb prick why is abortion so anti-God while bombing Iraqi children to steal their oil is freaking good. I am having a difficult time at church as well because there is only my mom, dad, and an elderly lady who have brains.

Why do people think conservatives have moral authority when we are the ones that believe in equal rights, child labor laws, financial support for hardship families, etc.

7. Exactly! I sent a picture of a dead Iraqi infant to a Bush
supporter who was bashing Kerry over the abortion question. I said, "Didn't Bush abort this baby's life? What is Christian about this baby's death?" He was shocked, to say the least and couldn't even reply.

6. What is clear about being a Christian...
is that you can't vote for Bush (well and stay out of hell...)

I mean, this guy is doing some things that are obviously going to get him into hell. If you don't know that, you aren't trying enough, and don't care enough to find out, so that's no exscuse. That said, you support him, with either the knowledge of the things he's doing or no exscuse for ignorance, then you are going to hell with him.

8. "Because I'm a Christian" - that's what I tell people when they ask
Edited on Fri Oct-22-04 07:05 PM by arnheim
me why I'm voting for Kerry. When I get the funny looks, I say, "'By their works shall ye know them.' Bush is like the Pharisees. He has gone out of his way to not follow Christ's teachings. Starting two wars, putting people to death, lying about the reasons we went to war - none of those are the acts of a Christian."

Usually shuts them right up.

11. Rebuttals to These People Have No Effect
A fundie has been spouting the exact same condemnation - that anyone voting for John Kerry can't be a Christian - for months now on a mixed board that I frequent. Believe me, there is no argument that can persuade him otherwise. His head is harder and more dense than tungsten carbide!

As a consolation gift, I have contributed to running him off the board...for a while

You may have a good effect by showing more moderate Christians that the flying monkeys don't have a monopoly on God, however.
