Fighting over cancelled Movie..Wait until Riots break of if Bush Wins
I see very very nasty physical clashes if Chimp trys to steal this election. Get ready for the litigation because it's coming no matter who wins..Disputes are coming..Bev Harris BBV tried to get them to clean it up but it's coming to head for sure.

1. I think you are right....unfortunately.
I have no doubts, given the brazen criminality of this administration and the enabling cowardly Republican majority in Congress over these past 4 years, they will be desperate to maintain their hold on power.

I really hope Kerry gets a bullet-proof mandate from the American people to avoid civil litigation that will only cause more problems in this country.

2. The Shadows feed on blood
and if they cannot get it from one place,
then they will suck it out of another.

4. I doubt we'll see violence
Edited on Wed Oct-20-04 01:01 AM by Selatius
I just don't see it. I mean, there will probably be a few cases of some political violence, but I doubt we're going to see anything more than a few isolated cases. The only way I could possibly forsee any violence in the street is if the war in Iraq drags on for another four years and is as bloody as ever. In that case, the 2008 elections could easily be a powder keg just waiting for a spark.

What could happen though is that we'll see a hailstorm of litigation over the election. The immediate consequence of Bush v. Gore is that Bush won the election, but I think the Supreme Court simply did not take into account the longer term ramifications of its judgment. I can only assume they thought it would be a one time deal and that everything would get back to normal afterward. As a result, we could easily see a glut of litigation based on Bush v. Gore itself.

5. But Bush v. Gore can't be used as a precedent, they said so.
Because they knew it was such bad law it would screw up our legal system for centuries if it was ever used again.

Oh, well.

7. If there isn't violence if Bush steals the election, I want to know
why not.Gore refused to fight in 2000 and let all of us down. People said he didn't want to see "blood in the streete". Well if the vote isn't worth fighting for ,what is? Surely we should be more invested in the vote in America than the vote in Afganistan!

6. I'm very worried
Things are looking good so far, but I'm scared to death of what's going to happen in those polling lines, what's going to happen if there's recounts, and what's going to happen when Bush loses. Very scary times, I think the real fight is still ahead. *sigh*
