Anybody here seen 'Avenue Q' on Broadway?
My wife and I just returned from NYC where we went to the 500th performance of Avenue Q (We went to high school with the director...thank god for house seats!). It's an amazing show...if anybody gets the chance to be in NYC, it's more than worth the cash and probably is the best musical I have seen to date (I've seen a number of various musicals in New York and London....). Hey, there's muppet sex, what more is there to want?

Anyway, there is a song at the end called 'For Now' and bad times being only temporary and there is a particular line that goes something like "George Bush is only for now." It brought the house down...loudest ovation of the night by far. The people next to me leaped out of their seats. I was wondering if that was an added line or it is a part of the original lyrics?

Anyway, it was a funny moment in this political season.

1. The Muppet's on crack!
I have the soundtrack and my wife and I can't stop listening to it!

I just wish my wife would stop with the "I'm not wearing underwear today/GET A JOB!" references! :(

The Bush* line is in the original.

SEX! is only for now,
YOUR HAIR! is only for now,
GEORGE BUSH*! is only for now,

Except for death and paying taxes everything in life
is only for now! :)
