Did Bill Clinton or Jimmy Carter ever publicly call anyone a "slimeball?"
Or any name near that for that matter. The fact that papa Bush and Barb can sound like radio talk show hosts when talking about other public figures indicated why Bush is who he is. It's the "parenting" stupid!

4. Idiot Son of an Asshole.
Idiot Son Of An Asshole
He's not smart, a C student
And that's after buying his way into school
Beady eyes, and he's kinda dyslexic
Can he read? No one's really quite sure
He signs stuff and he executes people
Maybe that's why, he doesn't have any friends
Cocaine and a little drunk driving
Doesn't matter, when you're the Commander in Chief.

Idiot son of an asshole
He's the idiot son of an asshole
Idiot son of an asshole
He's the idiot son of an asshole

Put on some make-up, turn on the 8-Track,
I'm putting a week back on the shelf,
Suddenly I'm the President, of the United States,
But they I woke up, and realized I'm still me.

He's too dumb, to eat pretzels, apparently smart enough to fix an election.
Moved ??? into the White House,
but most people voted against him.
He likes naps, He's good at naptime, A couple of naps and then a nap and then he's ready for bed,
He may be from ????, He's always gonna be ????

Idiot son of an asshole
He's the idiot son of an asshole
Idiot son of an asshole
He's the idiot son of an asshole
Idiot son of an asshole
He's the idiot son of an asshole

He's our president!

2. Certainly not on record, but you better believe ...

"slimeball" is tame compared to what is said behind closed doors. I imagine Bill Clinton has railed his share, given the shit slung at 'em.

Don't be naive ...

5. Saying it in public and saying it behind close doors are not the same
The difference is usually called "class".

8. Sure, but "parenting" has little to do with it.
Careful ... Does Clinton's sexual escapades reflect his upbringing?

There are so many other examples to dislike the Bush clan. Lack of class is one, but hardly the most damning.

13. Isn't the act of resorting to name-calling damning enough?
What difference does it make if it is in public or otherwise? According to your hypothesis, it is reflective of one's character, via parenting.

The fact that Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter have not done it on record doesn't absolve them from your standard. It just means they are better public speakers than the Bushes.

And that goes without saying ...

6. Babs Bush Called Clinton/Gore Bozos
I had always respected her as a first lady until she did that in the campaign. I lost all respect for her for calling the opposition demeaning names. It does appear to be a Bush family thing to demean the opponent by sleazy name calling. Yet another reason why I laugh at them when they call themselves Christians.

17. Barbara Bush also called Geraldine Ferraro a "rhymes with witch!"
Bar Bush is just plain nasty and mean. The Shrub even claims he is more like her. She makes Maggie Thatcher look like Mary Poppins.

12. Who called who a slimeball?
Lynn Cheney saying "He is not a good man" about Kerry was, I thought, unprecedented.

Guess I was wrong.

18. NIXON didn't even do that!

Though we caught him on tape, hoist by his own petard.

Harry Truman sometimes got in trouble for things he said, but he didn't say them to a reporter. Except for the famous instance where his daughter, Margaret, gave a public piano performance and a critic panned her playing. I don't remember what Harry said, though it probably would sound very, very mild today, but it got him in trouble.

19. Yes, Harry S wanted to kick some ass!
In 1950, Margaret Truman performed a singing recital in Washington that was reviewed by Washington Post music critic Paul Hume. Hume attempted to be diplomatic, calling her "a unique American phenomenon ... extremely attractive on stage." But then he added bluntly, "Miss Truman cannot sing very well. She is flat a good deal of the time."

Margaret's father, not known as "Give 'em hell Harry" for nothing, responded with a blistering note that included a hope that he would meet the critic some day.

"When that happens," Truman thundered, "you'll need a new nose, a lot of beefsteak for black eyes, and perhaps a supporter down below."
