24. Well, it was hard to generate 1.21 gigawatts of power back in Nixon's day
If you have plutonium available at your corner store, however...

26. But they could do it 1955 with Marty McFly?
I don't think Nixon was properly committed to flux capacitance.

12. I don't even have to see it to know that is true
I am familiar enough with the ways of Totalitarian Media Bootlickers throughout history to know it's true.

Anyone want to confirm the obvious.

Of course, that would be like confirming that Hitler never was really interested in peace or that Stalin really did open Gulags all across Russia.

14. I was surprised when Judy said "but the technology was not around
until the late 1990's" Ed said, basically, "whatever".

9. No. You're Right!
They never made it to space. He spent money on invisible lasers. But, they never actually launched them into orbit.

So, you were right the whole time.

13. Teddy Roosevelt
That bastion of military diplomacy and Republicanism never spent one dime on nuclear weapons, sattelite surveillance, smart bombs. And, he didn't protect one single soldier or sailor with a Kevlar vest.

I guess Teddy didn't believe in national security. Huh, Ed?

15. No one was funding it in 1978, its been recent in the last 10 years that
stem research has advanced to the point where they even know what it might be able to do or solve. It will be another twenty to thirty before they will know if they have something that will work on anything.
