http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&ncid=1963&e=17&u=/nm/20041015/pl_nm/campaign_bush_dc_9LAS VEGAS (Reuters) - President Bush (news - web sites) paid a rare visit to the press cabin aboard Air Force One on Thursday to express optimism about his prospects and dismiss polls showing Democrat John Kerry (news - web sites) won their third debate.
"The debate phase of the campaign is over and now it's a sprint to the finish," Bush said. "I'm excited about it. My spirits are high. I'm enthusiastic about my chances."
Bush, joined by Arizona Sen. John McCain (news, bio, voting record), spoke on what was only his third visit to the Air Force One press cabin since he took office in January 2001, as the Bush campaign sought to reassure Republican supporters after post-debate polls indicated Kerry won the last debate on Wednesday night in Tempe,
Arizona.
When shit like this is newsworthy you know the Press has their head up their collective asses. The Little Dictator never saw the need to mingle with the great unwashed before, but now that he needs them in a faltering campaign, he's their bestest buddy.
Of course the Press Corps, being the cheap whores they are, eats this up like cotton candy and fawns over the Krazy Kowboy like a new Mom over her first born. What morons these "journalists" are.
