Ever since Byrd, bless his heart, called into question the quality of intelligence provided to the administration, rather than attacking the administration directly (whom we all know in reality knowingly lied through their teeth), I had the feeling that was such a shrewd way to play it. Now the CIA has to defend themselves, so they're turning their fire on the White House (where it belongs), the White House returns fire against the Agency, and so the two get to expend their energy attacking each other while we get to just sit back and watch them tear each other to pieces! What a happy state of affairs! Besides, if it's the Agency doing the attacking, no one can claim it's those partisan Dems looking for any excuse to ravage the administration. Beautiful!
