Poll question: Would you still watch The Daily Show if it moved to network TV on FOX?
I would love to see the Daily Show move to network TV and go opposite the other nighttime shows.

The only network with a free nighttime slot right now is FOX.

If The Daily Show were to begin airing on your local Fox affiliate, would you still watch?

2. It wouldn't be the Daily Show anymore if it moved to broadcast
Ask Howard Stern what it's like to have to watch every word out of your mouth.

4. FOX News or FOX TV??
I know it's the same company, but I try and convince myself that they are separate. I know it's lame, but I'm not ready to give up the Simpsons, 24 or Arrested Development.

6. Look what happened to Politically Incorrect
I thought it was much better when it was still on cable. Once they moved it to network, it just didn't seem as edgy, and we all know what happened after Bill's all-too-truthful comment.

7. Don't have TV anymore . . .
But if I did, I'd watch it for a while to see if it stayed as good as it is. If it did, I'd go on watching it, but odds are it would get "networkized" and I'd stop.

I would be very upset if it moved to network TV.

12. Not voting because it wouldn't be the same show. If it was....
IF hypothetically somehow the Daily Show could stay the same show with the same edge and without interference from FOX then sure - I don't care what station it comes on.

But we know that would never happen, so no.

Jon said recently that part of him really doesn't want to leave comedy central even for a better network slot because of the freedom and respect he enjoys at CC.

18. Fox News is cable not Network
The Fox Network has some very good programming. It would not phase me if the Daily Show were to move there. In fact if it meant higher circulation I would be for it. The Daily Show is one of our very best weapons against this creeping fascism. I wish more would/could see it.

21. JON is doing fine. More viewers than Fox cable already
More people watch the Daily Show than all of Fox News's shows combined. I like being part of the cognoscenti. If you're hip, you watch it. Religiously. If not you watch whatever's on network.

22. Don't fix what isn't broken!
The Daily Show is doing just fine on Comedy Central - a network that will actually let it be what it is. Can you imagine the Daily Show with network notes and changes? Especially on a network as crass as Fox? It does have a few good shows, but, in the words of Homer Simpson, "Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwww, Fox! :puke:"

Notice the subtle and not-so-subtle changes in Politically Incorrect, when it moved to ABC. Comedy Central would have never cancelled that show. Plus, it takes out its garbage. (Good riddance to Colin Quinn!)

If the Daily Show moved to a network, it has to be NBC - replacing Conan. However, it's still a bad move.

Two Words: Craig Kilborn.
