Freeping rightwingnuts are the BIGGEST FLIP-FLOPPERS in history
“Doing good on a worldwide scale appeals to peace hawks, who are motivated by altruism, not patriotism.” Tom DeLay, R, Floor Statement, 4/15/99

FLIP-FLOP.

But now "doing good on a worldwide scale" is the entire rightwingnut platform.

“It’s very simple. The president is not supported by the House, and the military is supported by the House.” Tom DeLay, R, As quoted in USA Today, regarding Floor votes on Kosovo, 4/30/99

"Senator Gramm intends to vote to cut off the funds for U.S. troops as well as for an amendment which will support the troops but not the mission, although the Democratic leader in the Senate says that is a distinction to him without much difference."

"Congress should support the troops without endorsing the president's policy." Sen. Arlen Specter, R.

'Just because President Clinton has made a decision and the troops are already landing, Mr. Lott said, "I'm not going to endorse a wrong decision after the fact."

Senate Majority Leader Bob Dole, who angered many Republicans by backing the peace enforcement mission, made it clear that last night's vote was a show of support for American troops, not for Clinton.

"We don't support the president's decision," he said. "We do support the troops."

"US troops will be deployed in Bosnia no matter what the Congress does. Congress should support the troops without endorsing the president's policy." Sen. Arlen Specter, R, CNN, 12/14/95

FLIP FLOP.

Yet now the rightwingnuttery such as Tom 'Toxic' DeLay say:

“I think it's hypocritical to say on the one hand that you support the troops while on the other hand you say the reason they are risking their lives is wrong. I think it undermines the effort and the unity this country ought to be showing right now."- Rep. Tom DeLay, Washington Times, 3/20/03

FLIP FLOP.

During the 2000 campaign, George W. Bush argued against nation building and foreign military entanglements. In the second presidential debate, he said:

"I'm not so sure the role of the United States is to go around the world and say, 'This is the way it's got to be.'"

The United States is currently involved in nation building in Iraq on a scale unseen since the years immediately following World War II.

During the 2000 election, Mr. Bush called for U.S. troops to be withdrawn from the NATO peacekeeping mission in the Balkans. His administration now cites such missions as an example of how America must "stay the course."

FLIP FLOP.

"If we don't stop extending our troops all around the world in nation-building missions, then we're going to have a serious problem coming down the road."

"We will be changing the regime of Iraq, for the good of the Iraqi people."

FLIP FLOP.

"No matter what the whip count is, we're calling for the vote. We want to see people stand up and say what their opinion is about Saddam Hussein and the utility of the United Nations Security Council. And so, you bet. It's time for people to show their cards, to let the world know where they stand when it comes to Saddam."

At a National Security Council meeting convened at the White House at 8:55 a.m., Bush finalized the decision to withdraw the resolution from consideration and prepared to deliver an address to the nation that had already been written."

FLIP FLOP.

"I want justice. And there's an old poster out West, I recall, that says, 'Wanted: Dead or Alive.'"

"I don't know where he is.You know, I just don't spend that much time on him... I truly am not that concerned about him."

FLIP FLOP.

Freeping rightwingnuts are just stupid ignorant idiotic whining FLIP-FLOPPER morons. Which of course is why the love & adore their stupid ignorant idiotic whining FLIP-FLOPPER moron bush.

3. A "peace hawk"
is a bad thing *spit* and what the rightwingnuts call anyone who wants to send our troops for *spit* humanitarian *spit* purposes.

That is, when the president is a DEMOCRAT. *spit*

WHen the president is a rethuglican, however, then being a "peace hawk" is a good thing.

The usual rightwingnut total hypocrisy.
