Omigod, Hillary may run!
Put on Buchanan & Press now. Bill Press just said that Hillary is thinking of it and asking if she should.

7. Don't be so naive
What else would she say publicly? I hope the democrat loses in 2004 so I can get a chance to run in 2008.

8. On other threads .....
it's been mentioned that she said she would finish her term as Senator. I heard her say it, I beleived her.
Here's the thing, if she does decide to run, then it will be purely for her personal gain, nothing more IMHO. On top of that it will make an already crowded race look downright loony tunes.
I really don't like this rumour. I think Hillary could be a great first woman president, I really do. The only thing that would make feel ok about this rumour would be that she was chosen as a running mate to be vice-president.

Just my 2 cents.

10. I hope she isn't.
She is my senator and she would be breaking her promise to our state if she left her term and didn't finish it out. Regardless, I don't believe that she is running. She has already said she is not.

23. As a feminist
since around the mid-sixties, I would hope I can say that I hope she doesn't run without being accused of misogomy. I worked hard locally on her Senate campaign, but I don't want to see her in this race. Too many have an irrational hatred of her (and I am not speaking of people who have legitimate quarells with her positions - I have some my self, including the war vote). It is not her fault that she inspires this crazed venom in many, but she does.

18. If it's because of the war vote
remember, everyone except for Kucinich and a few others were swayed by lies regarding the status of Hussein's weapons programs.

I would vote her Queen of the World if it would get rid of the current occupant of the White House.

She made numerous statements that she is not running for president. This is propaganda bullshit to energize the unthinking freeper masses:

Monkey lover scratches butt and turns on the radio.
Rush repeats this nonsense.
Monkey lover scratches butt again - says "uuhh Clinton bad feminazi. Must vote against"
Monkey lover sends money to the current White House occupants campaign fund.
Monkey lover falls back asleep after checking to see if Ben and J-Lo are going to make another movie.

19. No I don't want her to run
I like Hillary a lot and think she would make a good president, but I am against a potential candidacy. First of all, in any race, she probably starts off with very high negatives. A very large number of Americans, probably above 40% of the electorate, will not vote for her under any circumstances. She is very polarizing. Secondly, while she would fare well in the "blue" part of the country, she would fail miserably in the "red" states. She would not be able to win enough of them to reach the 270 electoral votes needed to secure the White House. Simply too many peoople dislike her and I don't see her being able to overcome that.

21. I think this country is already polarized
The Great Divider has seen to that. I would like to have seen a Bush-Clinton matchup because it would have energized every American to register and vote. We would have witnessed the greatest percentage of voters in this country's history, IMO. Now, though, she will not enter the race. It wouldn't make sense.

20. i read some very
convincing inside gossip talk yesterday on hillary and her reasons for deciding to possibly run now instead of 2008 (mainly b/c bush is looking more and more beatable now)

i didn't want to promote any gossip, so didn't say anything on here, but you do have to wonder: why has this started again so strongly? is there any validity to it? i have no clue

25. The rightwingers I know
only talk about the Clintons when it comes to Democrats and, in particular, the possibility of Hilary running.

They don't have a clue about the Dems who are running...I think this report is just a red-meat rumor tossed out for Dittohead consumption.
