Freeper posing as independent

I was listening to the Gene Burns show (KGO) after the debate and someone called in claiming to be an independent, and instantly launched into a tirade trashing Kerry.

Gene was trying to get him to discuss the debate, but he wouldn't get on track. I was getting a little annoyed that this was being allowed to continue, as it seemed pretty obvious to me just what was going on.

But Gene, being the gentleman that he is, allowed him to have his say. Then he promptly slapped him down and hung up !

I wonder how many people claiming to be independents are playing a game like this.
