I can not find them now, just the headlines. See if I am just not looking in the right place. He made a lot of folks mad by just going to the groves.

Residents wait for Bush, no visit.
and
Busy locals had words for Bush.

They are not there, just headline.

I am going to check the print version now to see.

1. They're still there....just slow to load.
Articles were rather soft on criticism, I thought. Except for the Democrat who voted Bu$h in 2000 and probably will again. :eyes:

The locals didn't get to see their king but still wanted to say thanks. :puke:

3. The article is cautious, but many folks are critical.
See, folks are just finding out how long it will take and it is hitting hard.

4. Lake Wales is Adam Putznam's *sic* district?
I hope he takes the hit in 5 weeks.

Another toadie with a nickname from the Emperor.

5. Putnam will win again.
The guy running against him is an unknown who does not know what he is doing....in his own words to some folks I know. He is anti-choice, anti-gay, and sides with Republicans on most everything. His campaign was aided by Democrats for Life from Texas, and by the Catholic Church. He does not worry about separating church and state.

So...take your pick. Putnam or the other Putnam. The churches here worked undercover to defeat his opponent in the primary. We know, we worked with his opponent closely.

The right wing religious folks are running our election here, and our local DEC is just about to have the same battle.

Busy Locals Had Words for Bush

LAKE WALES -- Dear Mr. President: You couldn't stop to chat much when you came to town Wednesday, but the good people of Lake Wales want to talk to you.

"Bring a hammer, George," hollered Wendell Bowman from a rooftop Wednesday afternoon, where he was working on a friend's house that sustained hurricane damage.

"If you don't have one, we'll loan you one. He thinks it's hot in Texas? He ain't seen hot 'til he's been on a roof in Florida, after a hurricane or two."
