Edited on Wed Sep-29-04 03:43 PM by berner59
Hate to admit it myself but she's got a whole show on getting people to vote...Dew Barrymore, Camerian Dizz, P Diddy and others...good stuff... They were showing how this is really energizing the public...this HAS to be good for us...yes???

I've tried to get this information, but can't seem to find anything
about it yet.

2. Yes!
I am watching, but behind on tivo. But it looks good so far. She is appealing to groups that don't vote, but will break for Kerry if they do. Women and young voters. She has a HUGE audience.

16. Ophra got in a couple of Digs at
bush too! She said something like.."Mission Accomplished" when Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal got all those students to register to vote!

And she said..They're "leaving no one behind" when talking about the people who were registering!

the right to their own bodies. Teared up and everything.

4. No not watching, but that's good news
getting more people to vote is definitely good for us. I've been reading about how a much larger percentage of new voter registrations are Dems!

7. I take that back - some of the Miami students are applauding the
Repuke rhetoric, but it's not as loud as the applause for the dems.

She won't reprieve herself from that sleight of hand.

She has much to do to do to win back this once admirer.

10. Ychhhhh! I'd rather have my earlobes fried.
The dumbing down continues as our wannabee national leaders appeal to the lowest common denominator. What's next? "Candidate Challenge" on "Wheel of Fortune"?

12. Umm...
The show was simply about voting and getting registered — how important it is and how some died to secure that right. Like Oprah or not, she reaches millions of people, so how would encouraging them to vote be a bad thing.

21. There was no "dumbing down"!
This was a very intelligently done show on registering to vote as if your life depended on it! Because it does!

"Vote Or Die"!!

11. That show will make my job so much easier.
When I am standing around the Food Lion parking lot begging people to register and to vote, it helps allot if they heard it the night before from Oprah, P. Diddy and Cameron Diaz. I thought the guests showed allot of heart. Good show.

20. Show just wrapped up here in TX
It was great. I got emotional, too. But I had to roll my eyes when Jake Gyllenhal registered that sorority in Calif. Probably quite a few Bushbot future Stepford wives in that group. Oh well. They have the right to vote too.

24. I'm giving big time kudos to Oprah for this show, but
then I've always been a fan. If you really listen to her, she lets you know which way she leans but she can't come right out and say it for obvious reasons - anthrax being one of them.

27. It was a good show...
Parts of it were very sobering. To think that 40 million women in our country do not vote. Hopefully, as P Diddy said, the revolution will be televised on November 2.

"On November 2, ..the Revolution Will be Televised!"

I thought of our saying that "the Revolution will not be televised ..it's Online"..but P Diddy thinks it's going to be Televised!:7

"VOTE OR DIE!"

31. I still don't know how to deal with the fact that I am on Diddy's side
I've comfortably live in my life in an anti-Diddy world. Now, I have to hope that we can deliver 200,000 votes in swing states.

Can't we get a hologram of Sinatra out there or something...just for me?

my opinion is it was a wonderful show. We all may wish he would do more, but today i think she did great. She didn't bash bush like some of us would like to see, but like others have said she did get some very good digs in :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
