...have speculated that it's all an act and that in the last act Luther will come around. I can understand where they might think that but when I listen to Franken's voice I think it's real. You can here the frustration and suppressed anger in Franken's voice when he gets into it with Luther. I don't think Franken is THAT good an actor.

but I would bet that Luther is being compensated for being on the show somehow. Luther strikes me as being a rather typical dittohead, meaning that he will follow Rush's line no matter what. No matter how many times he is exposed as a liar, a hypocrite, and a downright dumbass, he will always be a prophet in Luther's mind. I've seen it time and again with Republicans. Scary and damn infuriating too.
