I just called Ohio (voter registration)
614-466-2585. I talked to a very nice lady and she said they'd gotten "nothing but" calls about this. She said they were going to address this issue "later." I asked when and she said today or tomorrow. Can anyone get me a link to the local t.v. news? I think we should start flooding them. These so called polls that have * ahead haven't been taking into account all of the newly registered and this could literally make THE difference...but not if they're throwing out the registrations.

NBC affiliate

CBS affiliate

ABC/FOX affiliate
they're owned by the Sinclair group though, so they probably won't give a dam.

just the ABC/FOX. sorry, should have made that clear.

But yes, the Sinclair group is right wing. The "news" on the FOX affiliate has a nightly segment called "The Point" with some crazy Sinclair higher up giving his views with all the lies and smear one would expect from the right.

4. Sorry, need some explanation
I'm in Ohio and not familiar with the basis of your post. Are there reports that some groups are throwing out registrations?

Mostly.

6. Sorry about not being clear...
Blackwell, the Republican Secretary of State is throwing out 1000's of new voter registration applications based on it not being on the right kind of paper. My understanding is that Ohio has had a massive number of new people register and now they are trying to trash these applications. PLEASE, PLEASE call. I'm out here in L.A. but am trying to help in the swing states in any way I can.

7. Was it paper supplied by Ohio in the 1st place? Or were these
Xerox copies of registrations that some non-governmental person or entity made?

9. Some were printed in the newspaper
others provided by different groups. The ironic part (disgusting) is that the forms provided in the Secretary of State's offices are not the correct weight paper. Just another attempt by Pepubs to disenfranchise voters.

10. Don't worry to much.
I saw something about this on the news last night and local Dems(including mayor Coleman) are on top of this. From what they said on the news Blackwell isn't getting away with it so far.

11. Here's a number directly to the NBC
news desk (a real person picked up - she acted like she had heard a little about it but not a lot and was not at all enthusiastic). Anyway, if they get some calls, maybe they'll pay attention.
614-263-5555.
