I hate this subject but...Kinkos Faxed Documents...
A guy from my church is a district manager for Kinkos. Tonight he said that any reporter can subpoena the camera surveillance tapes from the Abilene, TX Kinkos. He said Kinkos uses very sophisticated cameras because their equipment is expensive and has to be guarded all the times.

He's surprise the CIA has not obtained Kinko's video tape yet. From the moment a car drives into the parking lot, Kinko cameras takes a photo of your license plate. At least they can clear or hide the problem of who faxed the documents to CBS.

All the dirty tricks of bush still remain.

1. How on Earth
does a reporter subpoena surveillance tapes from a private company?

As to the CIA, so far, there is no allegation of a crime being committed, so why would they be involved? And if there were a crime, it's a domestic crime that would be handled by the FBI, not the CIA.

Perhaps this explains why your acquaintance still works for Kinkos. He seems not to know a lot.

3. I don't think anyone is claiming...
...they were faxed in the 70s. That would be an interesting claim though...

6. Instead of insulting me
Edited on Thu Sep-16-04 03:02 AM by Dookus
why not answer my questions?

If he believes reporters have the power to subpoena surveillance tapes and also believes the CIA would be involved in such a case, he is indeed ignorant.

Edit: By the way, Readmylips (I always name the person whose post is about to be deleted), it's spelled "schmuck".

13. Can't you get a judge to get you an order if you give a good reason?
Like a crime?Not a reporter but a law person?

16. but you see
*I* insulted a third-party who is not a part of this board, and for good reason: as a district manager of a Kinkos, he should KNOW a reporter cannot subpoena him for information. He is ignorant.

Now... insulting a MEMBER of this board directly is against the rules.

9. It was probably Burkett
And the reason the Bushies wouldn't say so is it would keep the issue in the news. That's a loser for them. So I wouldn't foresee them coming forth with CIA or FBI or Kinko's surveilliance info.

11. I'm thinking it might have been
Neil Bush who faxed the papers.

Anyone seen him since the divorce?

I didn't think so....

12. Obviously it was Al Quaida
Perhaps even Osama Bin Laden himself. After all, they do stand to gain the most if Bush is actually elected.

15. Actually no reporter can subpoena anything unless they have
a legal action going on against Kinkos.
