Now that the NAVY has vindicated Kerry's medals...
Can we now reclassify "Unfit for Command" as FICTION?!!! From this point on, every freeper you encounter hanging on to the lies spread by the Swiftvets should be ridiculed...parodied...exposed as the dipshits they really are! They're not even worth taking seriously anymore! Don't give them the benefit of even an argument! Simply say "So are you attacking the credibility of our military?!" "Are you calling the NAVY liars?!" "Who am I to believe: YOU or the NAVY?"

I believe that this will be TREMENDOUS for Kerry in the polls!! Any doubts about his service record now are based on nothing more than the bitter hatred of Republican operatives who deliberately attempted to discredit a TRUE War Hero and American patriot! Do you feel it?!! Do you feel the tide turning now?! What else do the Pukes have? Their Ace in the Hole turned out to be the 3 of Spades!!! From this moment on the campaign is about REAL issues and the very REAL record of shrub!!

This news, for me, is more exciting and refreshing than if Kerry were ahead by 20 POINTS in the polls!!!

Navy Says Kerry's Service Awards OK'd

By ROBERT BURNS, AP Military Writer

WASHINGTON - The Navy's chief investigator concluded Friday that procedures were followed properly in the approval of Sen. John Kerry (news - web sites)'s Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart medals, according to an internal Navy memo. Vice Adm. R.A. Route, the Navy inspector general, conducted the review of Kerry's Vietnam-ear military service awards at the request of Judicial Watch, a public interest group. The group has also asked for the release of additional records documenting the Democratic presidential candidate's military service.

Judicial Watch had requested in August that the Navy open an investigation of the matter, but Route said in an internal memo obtained by The Associated Press that he saw no reason for a full-scale probe.

"Our examination found that existing documentation regarding the Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart medals indicates the awards approval process was properly followed," Route wrote in the memo sent Friday to Navy Secretary Gordon England.

"In particular, the senior officers who awarded the medals were properly delegated authority to do so. In addition, we found that they correctly followed the procedures in place at the time for approving these awards."

6. Judicial Watch calls Navy IG a liar.
The group's president, Tom Fitton, called Route's review a "whitewash" and said Judicial Watch would "appeal as appropriate."

They didn't get the answer that they wanted, so the Navy must be lying.

8. Somebody should sue Judicial Watch for wasting taxpayers' money
by harassing the Navy with an appeal. The Navy's got a lot more important things to do than endlessly cater to wingnut whims, even though they seem to think they OWN the U.S. military as their own private militia.

7. As the "questions" about JK's service are put to rest,
the REAL questions about AWOL's LACK of service continue to grow.

Will Judicial Watch now go after shrub? Don't count on it.

Will the media whores now openly disown the SB Liars and apologize to JK? No way.

Will the media now actually investigate shrub's record? Maybe??

Route concluded that there was no justification for looking further into the decisions to award the medals or the anti-war activities. ....

"Our review also considered the fact that Senator Kerry's post-active duty activities were public and that military and civilian officials were aware of his actions at the time. For these reasons, I have determined that Senator Kerry's awards were properly approved and will take no further action in this matter."

16. That's why the swift boat liars were a joke from day 1
They not only questioned the system which awarded those medals, but they also questioned and every man who has every won such awards. I never thought the Navy would change historical records that they know are accurate.
