Will Dan Rather make a hero of himself?
I am hoping, since he has nothing to loose as a reporter and can retire at anytime without monetary loss, that he will spill all the beans. I hope he will get all info and lay it on the line about this entire admininstration. What are the odds of this in your opinion?

1. I still think Rather is up to something...
He went to Texas interview Burkett...maybe just maybe...Burkett set up Rove (through someone else) so he could set up CBS...don't know if Burkett is that smart but wouldn't that be beautiful???

I just think that Rather is way too savvy and here's his chance to burn Bush...maybe just wishful thinking...

5. The media has been covering Burketts house 24/7
but we haven't seen any pics of he and Dan out on the town. I'm sure Burketts is getting followed by the same media so who knows, maybe Dan does have an ace left.

2. I predict (and I hope I am wrong) that Dan Rather will
retire in the next week or two. CBS is already talking about an internal investigation to see how these "fraudulent" docs got on air. I think CBS will cave and Dan will "retire". I hope I am wrong...

3. Alas, that's the most likely scenario
We'll start seeing Rather less and less on the air, replaced by a series of blow dried bobbleheads until they find one with high GSR ratings among focus groups.

It would be nice if they backed him up, though. After all, he never said those documents were 100% genuine, only that as far as copies could be verified, they appeared to be. This whole flap is over nothing.

As his swan song, I hope he gets Burkett and some of Bush's band of brothers in the Guard to testify what a witless waste of protoplasm Bush was, and how his daddy pulled strings so he'd never have to face any consequences. It would be the icing on the cake if one of them would spill the beans about why Bush was busted back from pilot to trainer.

Remember, not one solitary person has disputed any of the content of those memos. With the originals not available, no one can say whether or not they were the originals or differently worded copies.
