Check It Out. Anti-bush* Protest in Baghdad!
Edited on Tue Sep-14-04 10:18 AM by leftchick
Unlike a lot of Americans, at least they know who is to blame for the mess Iraq is in. I am guessing they don't want aWol* re-selected in November either!

People chant anti George Bush (news - web sites) slogans as they blame him for his inability to provide security to Iraqis after a massive explosion outside a police station in Haifa street in Baghdad, Iraq (news - web sites), Tuesday Sept. 14, 2004. At least 47 people were killed and 114 wounded as the blast ripped through scores of people gathered there with hopes of joining the police force. (AP Photo/Khalid Mohammed)

1. It's a shame that people who live in a remote third world nation
are better informed about what kind of sociopathic moron runs our country than some of our own citizens.

3. Ironically, the timing is appropriate.

This, as per http://www.catch.com :

Richard "Swine Before" Perle said the following at an American Enterprise Institute conference on September 22, 2003:
"A year from now I'd be surprised if there's not some grand square in Baghdad that is named after President Bush."

It looks like they've finally started construction:
A huge crater had been punched into the road and at least nine cars were destroyed, sending thick plumes of black smoke into the sky.

4. Do you have a link? Was it CNN or another news-org?
I'd like to share this on another board.

5. ha ha... they would not show this on the tv news....
right before the election! I find a lot of news buried in the photos and captions in the Yahoo photos from Iraq. Thank God for the very brave photographers there. I find much more information about the reality in iraq there than anywhere else. Except maybe Juan Cole's blog. Here is the link to scroll through.....
