Assuming *'s voted out, what will the lame duck dumbfuck do?
From Nov 3 to Jan 20?

Anything?

Or will he sock it to us?

Assuming he loses, of course.

1. I think at least one RW Supreme Court justice will quit
and he will nominate some total RW tool, and then our side will be made out to be "partisan" for trying to block it.

26. After the election, who cares
They can complain all they want, but there is no way in hell that a lame duck appointee will be approved.

29. Bingo.
If Rehnquist were to retire, I'd make a series of phone calls the same day to Democratic senators with this message:

"Hello. I'm what you might consider a core Democratic base voter. I show-up to all elections, no matter how small. School board, property tax ballot measures, dogcatcher.. you get the idea. I distribute flyers, write letters to media outlets, march in parades with my veteran partner, I donate money, etc. Let's just say that I contribute more than most."

"Anyway, I have a very specific reason for calling. If you allow Bush to appoint a Scalia-clone, I will sit at home on Election Day for the next twenty years. I'll tolerate a LOT of disappointment with the Democratic Party, but I will NOT under any circumstances tolerate another Scalia on the court. I hope that this is crystal clear. Thank you."

I did this in 2002 when the 96-hour Senate marathon went on. You wouldn't believe how many office workers told me that they've heard the same thing over and over again, lol! Still, we need to keep the pressure on!

3. Personally, I don't really want to think of what he would/could do...
bush is such a fool, he just might blow up the world. IMHO, he is capable of the most evil of deeds, and has nothing of a moral basis, and is capable of great destruction. From everything I've seen of this braindead bozo, he is a failure at everything he has ever done, and is an arrogant jerk as well. He would have no problem doing the most heinous of deeds, just to make an assine point. He is literally, an amoral, disgusting shell of a human being.

22. I second your perspective on * Character or lack thereof ...
They'll have to send the men in white to extract both Bush and Cheney. I honestly believe that both men are so arrogant that they have not, even in their most introspective moments, contemplated the possibility that they MAY lose this election. Along with Rumsfeld, I honestly believe that they are drunk with power and on the verge of a complete mental breakdown into the pit of insanity.

I only hope * in particular SNAPS and reveals his dark side before 2 Nov 04. It's presently scaring me how the media "falls all over itself" to insist that our emperor is fully clothed. :(

37. I think bush has a real problem with reality now, he has failed at ...
literally everything he had ever done, yet comes to the American people with this bizzare notion he knows what he is doing. He is a failure, and I see no reason why that would change. IMHO, he is, at the least sevely neurotic, and at the wosrt, a full blown psychotic. I have never known anyone that never, not once, admitted they made a mistake; bush is like the kid with matches who swears his imaginary friend burned the house down.

He is drunk with power, and honestly believes God tells hiim to kill people. In fact, he enjoys having the power of death on his side, he finds great joy in saying people should die. I don't know what god he is listening to, but it sure isn't a God of any mainstream theological practice.

I just wish that people would wake up and smell the feces he is spreading, and swearing it is rose petals...x(

The Secret Service doesn't like posts hoping that the president will die, and we all know they are particularly jumpy these days. Please edit so as to avoid trouble for Skinner. Thanks!

8. I'm Not Sure I Understood You
There is no threat, not even a wish; this is an assessment of the future, based on events to date. There is no way Bush will come out of this smelling like a rose. There is no way he's going to evade the consequences of his illegal actions indefinitely, with the exception of having his case taken to the higest court and the ultimate judge. I do not recant, alter, nor in any way reverse my considered analysis.

25. Simple
B*sh pardons Cheney.

B*sh resigns 10 minutes before noon on Jan. 20th.

Cheney pardons B*sh.

That's all assuming, of course, that one cannot pardon oneself. I'm not exactly up on the way the whole thing works in detail.

12. He won't go quietly or without incident.
In fact, I am beginning to think that whatever happens in November will be a nightmare for this country.

I hate to be negative, but this country is so divided that I think that no matter who wins (or steals) the office, the divide will grow even greater and possibly violent.

If Kerry wins, the Bushistas will make life a living hell for him and for us. So will the freepers.

If Bush wins, get ready for the Fourth Reich.

If someone has a rosier scenario, please explain it to me, as I am aware that I might have a blind spot.

30. the Bushistas/freepers will make life a living hell for him and for us.
nope.

we have allowed that for far too long. if kerry wins, no way will they (bushistas/freepers) control the agenda.

they should be very afraid. we liberals are tired of playing nice. we know it gets us nowhere.

we can give as good as we get. afterall, we had good teachers. one thing about us liberals, when the going gets tough, we WILL fight back, and we will do it to win.

bank on it.

38. The thing is, that all this anger on both sides
has been building up to a point where the pressure is about to explode.

Sure we can fight, but I think it will escalate to the point where it won't just be in the realm of politics anymore, it will be out in the street, the workplace, the family, etc...

It's going to be like the Hatfields and the McCoys all over again, except the entire nation will be involved.

But *'s history in the white house has done more to terrorize than the 9/11 hijackers (which did make my heart sink and my stomach churn, it was hideous to watch...)

Time will tell. Hopefully he'll be a good loser. We already know he's a loser, but as long as he's good on the way out... (though he has yet to be good at any thing.)

15. That is why Kerry cannot give a definite position about what he
will do in Iraq after he wins. He hasn't a clue as to how screwed up things really are in Iraq and with the military, given that this admin is the most secretive and destructive admin in our nation's history. What the clown-n-chief will do between Nov and Jan is frightening and Kerry can't try to second guess how he will fix things when he has no idea how bad things will be when he gets in office.

Kerry has stated over and over again that he would have done things differently regarding Iraq and that he will run the nation differently than * when he is in office. This is enough for me!

19. Kerry is well aware of the quagmire
Bush has made of Iraq. He'll have one hell of a time trying to make inroads unless he gains a Democratic Congress, especialy in the domestic/economic area. It appears he will try to get UN Iraq involvement which is badly needed. Hopefully he will appoint Wesley Clark, who has had experience in that area, to work on that angle. Kerry has some great picks to appoint to his cabinet. Hoping for a clean sweep in November to clear the putrid air eminating from the WH.
If George slinks out of the WH, I hope to never hear or see of the SOB again.

27. To know that a quagmire exists and to know the full extent of
that quagmire and what it entails, are two totally different things. IMHO, that is why Kerry cannot come out with definites about his handling of Iraq other than international involvement.
