4. I'm ashamed to say that I thought the same thing. What will be the

first crime done with a "currently illegal" assualt weapon? I don't want to see any happen, but the odds are they will. I'm ashamed of my fellow citizens that I have to assume some of them are demented enough to make me believe this will happen.

Folks, go into your local and listen to the conversations. Is anyone talking about the environment or the ban on assault rifles? The talk is about jobs and healthcare. The environment and guns is what cost Gore the 2000 election.

100 in seconds! I happen to be a pretty goot shot, but even somebody who is a lousy shot can do a lot of damage spraying bullits in rapid fire.

My point is that a Mini-14 will "spray" 5.56mm rounds with just as much lethality as an AR-15.

"Banning" the AR-15 doesn't change the potential for harm out there.
